Got this as a stocking stuffer for a young teen trumpet player. Even though it was his year to play Santa on Christmas morning, he dropped everything to run get his instrument and take this for a test drive. It clipped on easily and had us all laughing in seconds. It’s pretty sturdily constructed but may be vulnerable to breaking at the stem, so I’d say it’s best for older kids and adults.

My son loved this! Couldn’t wait to try it out in band practice. He used it once and the stem that holds it broke. Poorly made. Will not buy again. Do not recommend either.

Bought this for my 7th grader and her friend. They are the only 2 French horn player in their class. When we received them, they quietly placed them on their mouth pieces without anyone seeing and during class the band director was taken by surprise and just started cracking up. The whole class got a kick out of it. They have decided to keep using these because their horn is French and needs a mustache, and the band director agrees lol

My daughter needed a gift for a “secret” gift exchange for her school show choir. The person she was given, was the trumpet player in the pit. He has a great sense of humor and LOVED this… until someone stepped on it 2 weeks later and broke it. He was so sad he couldn’t use it anymore… his band instructor probably was not 😉 Very fun gift!!!
