Great quality. Not great value though. Although I love it, I won’t be getting more nor will I be sending as gifts to anyone else. Even at a 40% price decrease, it would be at the very high end of storage containers but would be more reasonable.

Excellent quality, perfect size and easy to store. I bought a cookware set from them with the same color so they are perfectly match together. I will use them as lunch box. Plan to get another set.

I’m so excited about these new food storage containers! Like their cookware/bakeware, they are classic, chic, and quality-approved. Their storage containers will be a significant upgrade to my current situation. They have quite a bit of sturdiness to them.

I have lots of food storage, but I wanted to give Caraway a try because their food storage system is clean and attractive. At $245 on SALE, it was quite the splurge. The company shipped quickly and everything was very well-packed. That said, as soon as I picked up and opened the box, I knew I was going to return them.
This is what I liked –and didn’t like–about the Caraway set.
PROS:
1. The design is minimal and attractive. If you want to beautify your fridge, this is a good way to do it. (Or try cleaning and organizing your fridge, which is free!)
2. It’s a thoughtfully curated set with several containers in assorted sizes to fit most of your storage needs.
3. It comes with its own modular storage.
4. It’s attractive enough to not hide in a drawer—in other words, it looks nice on open shelving.
CONS (and why it’s going back):
1. Each piece is very heavy. If you’re older or have any joint issues, this is a potential issue. Also, if you were storing multiple full pieces at once in your fridge, it would be a lot of weight.
2. It’s not leakproof. At this price point, it should practically walk on water.
3. It’s high maintenance. The set comes with a magic eraser so you can contend with scuffs and marks. That’s way more work than I want to put into my food storage.
4. It doesn’t open easily. If you have any type of joint issues, this would be frustrating.
5. It’s incredibly expensive. There are more affordable ways to go green with your food storage. Try the Zwilling vacuum seal set, which is great!

These Caraway food storage containers are the Louis Vuitton/Prada/(insert other $$$ brand name) of food storage containers. Are there similar products that are food safe, works as well (or better), but cheaper and maybe less attractive – yes! But if you want luxury and beauty, this is one of your options!
Okay, with the topic of pricing out of the way, the containers themselves were a let down for me. The biggest issue is how difficult these are to open!! They give you an entire booklet on how to use, wash, and tips on these containers, but no mention of how to best open these things. The worst is the largest container – the lid is so suctioned on there, you really have to press it against your body while your other hand slowly peels the lid off. Then there are the dot and dash containers – these are plastic, and the lids are a little too easy to remove (I feel like if i dropped one, the lid would fall right off). It’s like the complete opposite of the food containers.
Fyi- they are dishwasher safe, so yay!
As mentioned before, I consider these “luxury” containers, and as such, they are presentation worthy even when you store them. Therefore, they aren’t like the glass Pyrex containers that stack and store away in a space-saving size. These come with their own storage rack, they take up a lot of shelf space, and honestly, it looks very attractive.
Weight-wise, they are similar to glass storage containers (heavy). Not the most ideal for lunch boxes, but perfect for food storage in your fridge.
My order did have some broken pieces, but I didn’t ding any stars for that because: 1. The packaging on this set is intense. The box itself, after removing all the items, was heavy! It seems the packaging engineer put a lot of thought into it. And 2. Who knows how it was handled thru the shipping process, so I can’t blame Caraway for it being broken.

Caraway is slowly taking over my entire kitchen. I really love this food storage system they’ve created, has all the sizes I need and is easily stored. The rltight seal and added strap let’s me feel safe my food isn’t going to spill when I travel with it. Also the fact that I don’t have to transfer food out of it to go into the stove or microwave is a huge win and lessenens what I have to clean. 10/10
