This product was purchased to replace another cosmo range. The unit works as advertised and it was easy to install. The only small issue was the unit was not exactly the same size and 36” wide, it is actually 35.5”, small gap is left on the sides of unit when it is installed, the power cord is also slightly shorter than the unit it replaced.

if you have older 12″ deep cabinets, mounting could be tricky because you need nearly 1″ for the power cord. it is feasible to adjust the plastic piece holding the power cord straight but that’s a ‘better know what you’re doing’ type issue. power is 44″ long maybe in the factory, after internal routing you get about 35″ (in my case)
half an hour or so peeling off blue stuff and under 10 minutes to mount it.
As someone looking for as simple an install as possible i scored 100% with this unit. Install was easy, i measured and drilled the holes for the front first, sat the unit on the screws (its lite enough) and quickly mounted the rear pair of screws. The front and rear have the wide holes that narrow so you can slide the hood on and off, i didnt want that and the rear has permanent holes so i used those. i was worried about vibrations and ‘keeds’ 🙂
It looks nice and clean and i never thought about it but i appreciate the lack of some big stupid logo on the unit. its just the buttons and looks clean. the metal is thin but decent, doesnt bend or ding easily.
The leds are nice, good amount of light, i got the 6500k to match my kitchen.
The blue stuff wow, I ended up being impressed by how scratch resistant it is. its too bad they couldnt wrap my car in it.
fan is good, its what i expected, its not silent but even on low the steam etc from the stove immediately flows up and out. there’s a low whine, its low though so fades into the background easily. its there but low and i dont have to adjust my volumes when its on low or medium. I didnt test high, low-med gets me what i need.

Installed using toggle bolts to a mobile work station. Could not have been easier. Noise level is acceptable. Suction is more than adequate. I have no grease splatter….no smoke conditions and no odors thanks to the carbon filter. Could not be happier.

This unit is just now being installed so i cannot soesk to the suction power, but when i unpacked the unit, i was very impressed with the sleek design (stainless steel) and that the “innards” are not visible from underneath once installed. That is one reason i replaced my “old” Braun (less than 6 mo old) because i could see the wiring and light exposed underneath. Not this one. For about $20 more than the unit it is replacing, it looks like I’ve spent triple what i did. Excellent value. Make sure you order a CFK4 carbon filter kit with it. It is a plug-in unit so you may want to make sure you have a junction box available. Our old one was hardwired in so we had to get a junction box in order to put this in to be able to plug it in.

The plastic twist in adapter is garbage. I finally gave up an used the screw on adapter thats made for the back. I laid it out and marked the 4 screw holes, drilled and attached the adapter. After that it wasnt to bad

My tenant moved out and based on all the soot left behind the existing ductless system had to go. I was shocked at how well this unit drew in the smoke and gases from the stovetop when I tested it after installation. I purchased the carbon filter separately and I think that makes all the difference between this unit and those with just a mesh filter. Recommend for those without the ability to vent outdoors.

Our stove placement required a recirculation range hood and this unit looks great and was relatively easy to install by a coup!e of seven this one things who know how to use a cordless drill. We ended up using#10 machine bolts with washers and a small rubber bushing rather than the provided screws. It is a light weight hood so not worried about it crashing down with this installation. It is relatively loud on the higher settings and the single light is not terribly bright on the 30″ hood (36″ has two lights, I believe) but still useful and better than what we had.

For the price, this is a well-built range hood. Love that it could easily be made recirculating. Simple to install – just attach it with a few screws and plug it into an existing outlet. Reasonable noise level. Great air flow. Very happy with my purchase.
