This case delivers on what is expected. My only ding would be that there are so many latches all over the place including one under the handle making it awkward and time consuming. On the other hand, better safe than sorry.

First off, this product arrived on time and undamaged.
My Experience:
A few years ago, I ordered this “exact” same case in grey for my Full Size Acoustic Cello. In truth, I know this isn’t the highest quality case, but it works wonderfully for my Full Size Acoustic Cello Needs. However, this new case, which is blue, is not as strong as that grey case. It is extremely flimsy and by no means can it be the same construction. If I were purchasing this for my Full Size Acoustic Cello, it would have been returned immediately; however, in this case, I was purchasing it for a DIY custom fit project for my Full Size Electric Cello. In the paradigm of electric Cellos, it is next to impossible to find hard cases that fit via their slender construction and artistic shapes. After about a year of carrying this cello in a fabric gig bag, I decided it was time to make a custom fit hard case. Initially I was worried about how flimsy this case was, but after adding the high density foam (which I custom cut), fabric adhesive, and case fabric, it sturdied up perfectly. As such, I now have a good hard case for my electric Full Size Cello.
Conclusion:
I honestly wouldn’t utilize this blue case for an expensive Full Size Acoustic Cello. In truth, the grey case I purchased worked great, but I fear they might have changed construction with this blue model and I honestly feel it is too flimsy to be considered a “secure” hard case. It might to the job for a cheaper acoustic cello, but nothing of higher value… just to be safe. However, since I added foam supports and other DIY components, this solved the flimsy case issue. That being stated, most people will not buy this cello case for electric cellos, as such, I don’t recommend it for everyone unless you can be assured you have the same sturdiness as my last grey case.
I hope this review helps.

My 9 year old grandson was very excited to get a hard cello case. However, he no longer uses it because it is very difficult to line up and secure all the latches without an adult to assist. The top and bottom latches don’t line up well when closing it. Otherwise, his 3/4 cello fits the case nicely, using the included foam blocks. When correctly latched closed, it seems to provide good protection and wheels easily. He loved the blue color.

This case is just what I need. Although not currently leaving my house much due to the virus bug, I do live in Florida and hurricane season is upon us. So its use currently is to just sit and be there if I need to make a quick departure to a more stable location.
I do wish the case was more of a blue color, or what I really wanted was champagne, but that is only available in much more expensive cases. This case is very sturdy. It comes with not just 7 but 11 latches and the outside back has 2 metal rings at the upper end, not 1 as the picture shows, to attach the straps to. At first I couldn’t find the straps and was about to complain but then read description and realized there is also a detachable pocket. So I found the pocket and the straps were inside. The case fits pretty tightly around my 4/4 cello so I’m not sure where I would store this pocket. A problem for another time. There are 2 velcro strips on the inside top to hold 2 bows but I haven’t tried them yet. My cello measures 50 1/2 inches top to bottom so was concerned when ordering this case as the official Amazon dimensions show the inside as only 48 inches and the seller warns to be sure and measure to make sure your cello fits! But mine fits fine. With the endpin pulled up it still has about an inch of space left at the bottom of the inside case. All in all – very happy with my purchase!

This case was a gift to my 18 year old granddaughter for her 3/4 cello. She was and sill is ecstatic over the case. its straps and lining keeps the cello secure wile the molded exterior prevents injuries to the neck , body, and stand. a supplemental compartment provides space for rosin, and whatever else might be needed. The case was an excellent buy for the money.

This case is STUNNING. Absolutely gorgeous and well worth the price. However, although I found it incredibly easy to use, it was too bulky and difficult to manage for my 8th grader, and ultimately I had to return it, because she started to refuse to use it.
For an adult or older teen this is the perfect gift!! But it may cause challenges for younger teens
