The first one I received was defective but Amazon representative quickly arranged for me to receive a new one.
Bogus Tripper –
It works my microwave and Toaster oven. Great product.

This review is for the “CyberPower CSB6012 Essential Surge Protector”. Good quality surge protector for the money. Have been using for about 45 days and no issues to report. The 12 foot power cable is great for reaching that power source that may be hard to reach with a standard 3 or 6 foot cable. The cable itself, is of heavy quality and I would guess is at least 12 awg or a heavier duty 14 awg. I would recommend this product.

This item was ordered to replace the Belkin 6-Outlet Commercial Surge Protector with 8-Foot Cord and Rotating Plug, BE106000-08R that I had ordered previously (in hindsight, it is regrettable I did not return it) for safety concerns. Even though the Belkin power strip had a sticker saying that it is a UL Listed product, each of the sockets were so loose that the smallest budging of and of the connected cords would result in an audible snap, crackle or pop sound from arcing electricity in power strip. Even though it was still a fire hazard, I decided that it would be safe enough in between a entertainment center cabinet and the wall. After getting a newer television, and a failed effort to crimp the internal metal strips of the Belkin powerstrip for a tighter connection, I was no longer confident in the safety of the Belkin product and knew that I needed to get something else to replace it. Luckily I found this unit at a reasonable price that outperforms the Belkin in every way as fas as I am concerned. The socket to plug connection is snug/more secure, the higher surge protection is a plus, and the longer power cord more than makes up for the Belkin’s rotating plug, all at price cheaper than the Belkin. The one concern that I have seen in the reviews for this product about the fact that the power switch does not light up when powered on should not be a concern at all, so long as you make sure that the switch is in the on position before the the power strip gets tucked back in behind all of your plugged in electronics.

What is there more to ask for? A $10 12-feet 6-outlet that works as it should. Had it for a few days now and have had no problem with it. It is perfect in a college work space. It seems durable, light, and the chords are well constructed from any possible damage. I assume this outlet will survive me for the next four years or more. I will update as time goes, but for now, its just as expected: working perfectly fine and providing the perfect amount of outlets!

I like this surge protector because the cord is longer than most. I do a lot of quilting and use this plug to plug in my iron close to my sewing machine. When I turn my iron off, from the iron, then I also turn off this switch so I know that there is no way that the iron will be left on. I can also use this to just turn off the iron in case I forget to turn the dial on the iron to the off position. I would definitely recommend this item. Chord length is as advertised. The firmness of the connections for what is plugged in is a little loose and sloppy. You normally want anything that isn’t three prong to be pretty sturdy, and most things we have used have not been so. Not a huge issue, but fixing that would make this a perfect product.

So far, so good. I have not had it for a very long time. It would be great if there was a light to show me that it was connected, but I knew it did not have a light when I purchased it. I wish it were lighter weight since the long cord is heavy, but hopefully the heaviness is proportional to the quality level!

This is a great surge protector with a nice, long cord. It can accept 3 prong plugs, but it cannot accommodate large box type plugs without taking the space for the surrounding plugs. I don’t view this as a problem, just important to know before you purchase.
The color matches nicely with our electronics and blends in to the background on our dark cabinet.
It does come with a $75,000 connected equipment warranty as an added piece of mind.

wish i had ordered these with the shorter cord — i think i got 24 or 30 of them and the long cord is a bit of a pain. The cord is very heavy gauge (good) and these things are built tough.

Works great, thick cord, but no LED light indicator on button. So don’t be like me and plug it into outlets and then check your breakers because it isnt lighting up!! Lol Just plug something in and see if it works! Great value.

I needed a power strip with a long cord so I could charge my electronics in my living room. This was perfect. If anything, the cord was longer than I needed, so I am very happy. The powerstrip works perfectly and since it is black, it does not stand out like a light color would do. Easy to hide.

I recently went to college and this is a great extension cord because it’s so long! I lived in the top bunk and I was able to plug this in from behind out fridge and wrap it around the wall to be right next to my bed which is super convenient for me. Also, it’s pretty budget-friendly and durable.
