Works well. It includes a screw to mount to the wall but I am not using it to make it more portable. The outlets are quite close together rendering the middle outlet useless, but the USB outlets are useful and make up for the lack of space.

This works great for my little charging area for cell phone, e’cig, portable charger also have an under Cabinet radio and my sentcey warmer plugged into it. However Even With REMOVING The Cover from the outlet it doesn’t seem very secure. The screw took a few try too. It is a great concept but has a few design flaws. If you are only going to be unplugging the usb ports often then it’s fine but to whole unit flexes and try to pull from the wall with a normal plug.

Stays plugged in very well, it isn’t loose or falling out of the wall. It seems to work as intended, we haven’t had any surges so it’s hard to tell how well that works, but it does stay in the wall very well with the screw. It stays in pretty well without it but we were able to make it work. My husband loves that he can plug in his lamp and his other devices instead of having to choose what gets power. The USB charging ports work well and charge quickly.

This fairly large in-wall surge protector takes up the space of an entire outlet, but, while it can also extend the outlet by one — that is, it has three 3-pronged outlets in place of the two it covers — this is possible only if the three plugs are small. Even then, it is a tight fit. The problem is that most electronics that you want to protect will have larger three-prong plugs; in that case, this unit will not extend your existing wall outlet at all. That said, I bought it for the in-wall surge protection, and that seems to work as advertised. We had a few power glitches in the past few days due to thunderstorms, and nothing plugged in fried. Of course, you don’t really know if a surge protector is working, only when it doesn’t.

In addition to the outlets, this two 2.1 A USB ports for charging devices such as cell phones and tablets. In that way, it DOES extend your outlet by another two since you don’t have to use a separate wall adapter. The ports on mine work as they should.

The unit has an optional anchor screw that can be used in place of your lower outlet cover screw if you plug this into the lower outlet. It also has a piece of plastic jutting out in the back that fits into the third prong space of the lower outlet if you plug this into the upper outlet. I removed the screw — it’s a long screw, and that took some time — and instead use the plastic bit to keep this anchored and flush with the outlet cover.

The design of this surge protector could be improved by making it a 1/2-1″ wider for better plug spacing and by placing the USB ports above the outlets for easier access. The green light indicating that the unit is working is currently above the outlets, though, and that would have to be rearranged as well. Despite those design flaws, this is still much better than a huge surge protector sitting on the floor in a location that doesn’t need a bunch of protected outlets.

This is my second one, bought at two different times. I really like this product. It comes with a built in screw, to replace your current wall plug cover. The LED light is visible, but not so bright where it would distrub your sleep.
The plugs are a decent distance from each other to allow 3 normal power plugs to be plugged at the same time. The usb ports work well.
    Solid built quality

I ordered this, and we found it to be a well made and potentially useful item. However, we did not have an outlet it could fit, where we wanted it. The outlet we wanted to use was right against a built in cabinet, and it did not work. The prongs on the item was right in the center. We had to return it.

I have purchased three of these surge protectors over the past few months. Two worked well while one had problems with the USB charging ports Both ports failed (no output) after 10 minutes of use. I contacted the company, they respond within two days, and sent me a return authorization mailing label and said to return it for a replacement or give me a refund. It was up to me to print the label, box up and mail the item back to them. I was also responsible to pay for the postage but was told, by the company, that they would reimburse the postage. A prepaid return label would of been nice. Overall the unit is convenient and in spite of my USB problem, it appears to be well constructed. I liked the fact that it has a screw that replaces the existing socket screw. This holds the unit in place so as you pull out a plug the unit stays in place. Still using the other two surge protectors without any problems.

We plug our laptops into this. The added USB charging is fantastic as it helps to keep the other slots clear.

I had to remove the screw as it doesn’t work with our outlets and this makes it a little less secure, but it doesn’t bother me because I don’t pull cords to remove things from outlets.

I was sick of having the big surge protector units sitting under my desk with my computer plugged in, phone charger, lamp, etc. So I picked this up to do the same job but get it all off the floor (underneath my desk is visible throughout the room). This unit is made by a brand I was unfamiliar with ‘CyberPower’, and seems pretty generic (from the name) but it works well. Be aware that because of the size of the unit it covers both outlets you have currently, which may seem obviously but it’s worth pointing out. Although it only has 3 outlets — giving only 1 more than you had — it has 2 USB ports which is super handy. In this day and age many electronics (phones, bluetooth headsets, wireless headphones, portable batteries, etc.) all charge by USB, and often you can find the cable but not the wall adaptor. And if you lose the wall adaptor, with this you wouldn’t have to buy a new one – at least at your desk.

Overall it works as described, and from the description it provides some slight surge protection which is never a bad thing.

IMPORTANT: Double check that the outlet your using it the type with 2 separate plug outlets and has a screw in the middle (the one holding the outlet cover in place) I, for some reason, assumed all outlets were like this and turns out mine was not. Some newer outlets are a different, more modern, style, and they don’t have the screw whole in the middle. This isn’t a deal breaker, because you can unscrew the screw from the unit easily and then it will fit, but it’s not as nice because technically it’s not as grounded as it should be (which the screw does) so it might make it less surge protected. If this is a deal breaker use it in another outlet that has the middle screw or purchase a different style outlet surge protecter tap.
