I caved and was influenced by a TikTok to try this out. Like that person, I wanted a ninja creamy but just couldn’t afford it.
Is this a perfect dupe for the creamy? No. Does it still work as a kinda dupe. Yes! Be aware that the consistency will be more soft-serve, but when you’re craving ice cream, it does the trick! You can pretty much use anything (milk, milk alternatives, yogurt) and get a nice cool desert. If using liquid, I do recommend putting your mix in the freezer for a bit to get it super cold – the results are better.
Plus the cold bowls work great for those of us who hate it when their ice cream melts. Double score!

Overall very nice to use. Nice clean pretty color. Got two bowls so I can share. Very easy to use. Great for one or two people.

Who doesn’t love a Dash product!? This may not make you real ice cream but you get a pretty good frozen dessert with literally zero work on your end. I haven’t tried any of the recipes that came with it but I make ‘frozen’ protein drinks which turn out ok. I’ve noticed that the texture improves quite a bit when you put the cup back into the freezer (for about 5 mins) after churning. Yogurt does really well in there and the texture really does feel like soft serve/froyo.

These work really well. They are perfect single size and at a good price point. Kids will enjoy helping they are so easy to use. Super easy to clean too. When i made a larger batch in my Kitchenaid ice cream maker, we stored the extra in these bowls. When we took them out to eat, they stayed cold for an hour or more!!

This thing is not great. You definitely have to freeze the mix that comes out after 20 min of mixing in this mug. It is liquid. Nowhere near frozen ice cream. I think you could get the same end results from freezing the mix and occasionally mixing it as it freezes. I love the recipe though. Great vanilla ice cream

It also build frozen product at the bottom too quickly and I believe it’s because it’s is not deep (tall) so the top doesn’t freeze

I really liked cuz it’s easy to make my own ice cream. I highly recommend it!

I read reviews of this prior to purchase and had concerns about the ability to chill anything into ice cream. However I think it may be poor effort on those individuals part.
I keep a cup in the freezer until ready to use. I aim to have the mixture i’m making into ice cream cold before putting in the cup. I put the top on and let it work for about 20 min and am very happy with the result.
If you want rock hard ice cream, then this isn’t for you, but fresh soft serve like homemade ice cream usually is..it’s great.
I bought this to make faux ice cream as an alternative for health reasons and think it’s great. Enough ice cream for 1-2 servings and satisfies a sweet tooth craving.

Knowing nothing about how this is done, I thought this was a bit more of the device doing it without much from me. There was more cooking involved than I expected. But I bought all the ingredients, though accidentally used whipping cream, and followed all the instructions using beaters and a small pot on the burners, then fifteen minutes stirred by this actual cup. And it was delicious. What can I say, it was actually fun and it worked out great.

I love love love this little ice cream maker from Dash. It’s just enough for 1 serving that way I can’t overeat. Very easy to use, if it’s not thick enough for you, put it back in the freezer for a short time. Nice little recipe book comes with it, I have made the vanilla with a add in or two & the chocolate. only one little glitch, if it’s quite humid outside you get more of a softie serve which makes no difference to me as I said pop it back in freezer. Enjoy!!!!! P.S. I bought 1 8 oz carton of heavy cream and have made at least 4 servings .

I read and read the reviews, bouncing back and forth from DO NOT buy to great! Unfortunately this item does not work. I tried several different ways, but each time it is liquify. When I placed it in the freezer to thicken, it is then too hard to take out of the metal lined bowls, which are now all scratched up from spoon action.

I bought this ice cream maker as a gift for a family member, I’ve been told it works well and is fun to use. Makes about two servings, it’s a nice size. Recipient likes the idea of healthy dessert options.
