I have been searching for the “perfect” set of strings for my 12 string guitars for years. I don’t like the “light” strings with .10 to .47 gauges. I feel they loose too much power. The medium gauge strings with .12 to .54, at concert pitch, are a warped neck waiting to happen. This is a very nice middle of the road solution. The .11 to .50, with a wound “a” is exactly what I want. And, since I like strings that are a bit warmer than 80/20 the 85/15’s do nicely. Not as warm as PBs, but nice. The core of the string is round, so they are actually easier on the fingers than the hex core strings most players are used to. This is also a huge benefit for 12 string players. So, while these may not be “perfect” in suiting my overly specific needs, they are great. I gig with them regularly.
Update:
While these strings are excellent, I decided to switch back to the lighter gauge. When not using the 12 string guitar for a period of time, the med/lt strings required too much clamping pressure, when returning. As a 1/2 time 12 string player and 1/2 time 6 string player, I needed more similarity in playing tension.

These are excellent strings, especially useful for tuning a 12 string down 1/2 step. Great playability and tone, vintage bronze sound with just right amount jangle.

Bonnes cordes, assez solides. La corde de sol 3 n’a pas cassé tout de suite, ce qui est une bonne chose.
Seul reproche : le packaging. Les cordes ne sont pas emballées individuellement et on passe du temps à tout démêler !

ABER nur 10 Saiten statt 12. Es war verpackt und eingeschweißt. Also war nichts unterwegs irgendwo herausgefallen! Nun gut. Ich behalte die Ware dennoch, denn die fehlenden Saiten, die “dicksten”, die habe ich da. Aber deshalb nur 3 von 5 Sternen

Good quality strings… except that one of the high Es broke at the ball end.
But the real kicker is that the strings aren’t grouped in pairs of 2, some are in 2 and some are in 3 with no obvious order. It took me a solid 20 minutes to figure out what goes where.

I’ve played guitar for 35+ years and this was a new one for me. The strings come in a wound coil wrapped together. Unfortunately, I was unable to figure out which string was for which since they no longer wrap each string in individually stated gauge packages. Instead they send you a coil of strings that your supposed to work with. They recommend you pinch the coil together and the one with the least amount of tension is the one your supposed to pull out next and it would be the correct next gauge…an incredibly dumb idea. The whole bundle falls apart and you are left with 12 strings that you now have to guess where they go. All of this to save 3 oz of paper. I’ll never buy this brand again until they go back to the original packaging of individual strings.

These Dean Markley guitar strings are easy on strings and very bright sound. I tune half or whole step donw for tuning as tension on 12 strings guitar is very heavy, but maintain bright sound.
