Works as designed, installation went well, I used a large staple to hold the weight of the cord up so the outlet doesn’t have to hold that weight. Staple not included in the kit.

I was really excited to add this to my shop. I have been using it for a little over a month now and does great with my miter saw and table saw. I Was disappointed that the breaker trips when I use my circular saw but when i looked into the specs, my circular saw requires more amps than what is advertised with this cord so that’s on me. Overall, it’s great and works well for most things. Retracts perfectly and makes my shop much neater.

Feels solid and sturdy. Retractable mechanism is at certain location of the turn only. You’ll hear ratcheting bites as you pull the cords, and at certain location you won’t hear any. When you let go during the ratcheting portion, the cable stays in place even when release. When you need to have cable retracted, simply keep pulling it until you got past the ratcheting section and then release.
Once you get used to the logic behind the locking/releasing, it is fairly simple to use. It is rated for 10A at 125V, should be enough for general use of power such as charging and tools. And it is Intertek certified for peace of mind. (Rather than something without any certification mark at all.)

It’s not 30-feet PLUS 4-feet of lead as it says in the description. It is actually 26′ + 4′ of lead = 30-feet. As it turns out the shorter length still works for my situation – there is plenty of cord to get out into my driveway to work on projects. And the product feels sturdy, well built. Cord dispenses with ease with the tell-tale ‘clicks.’ The instructions warn you when activating the retractor to return the card, do it slowly. They’re not kidding – the spring in the reel is hearty and will pull the cord right out of your hands if you are not careful, resulting in a whiplash of the heavy plug end. Mine is mounted mid-garage on the ceiling. The screws provided look small, considering the weight of the reel, but provide all the strength you’ll need if installed into wood (not drywall). The bracket is simple, and the ring-locking mechanism a bit tricky (like a keychain) but not difficult to complete. I might have given this 5-stars were it not for the weird discrepancy in actual length. Couple be a “lost in translation” thing, but after that I am so far satisfied with the value for the money spent.

The DEWENWILS 30 Ft Retractable Extension Cord Reel, Ceiling/Wall Mount 16/3 Gauge unit is quite tough and works perfectly fine. Just be aware that return pull on rewind is super strong. If it slips out of your hand the plug end may easily whack someone or something causing damage. Be careful! A small child could be hurt playing with it.

This is nice clean product that is easy to install and works great! The adjustable stopper allows for perfect placement of the extender end when retracted. Be sure to not FULLY extend the cable or you may have issues with the spring. It helps to mark near the end with tape so you don’t extend too far. Aside from that disclaimer this is a fantastic product.
