Mit bisschen Übung bekommt man die Kontaktlinsen super einfach aus dem Auge heraus. Man muss etwas weiter vorne an der geriffelten Struktur der „Pinzette“ greifen, vorsichtig mit leichten Druck an das Auge setzen, damit sich die Greifer minimal an den Rand der Kontaktlinse schieben und dann einfach den Greifer zusammendrücken.
Das Material der Pinzette ist sehr weich und lässt sich gut reinigen. Alles in allem eine tolle hygienische Lösung, gerade für Mädels mit längeren Fingernägeln. 😀

Dieses Produkt kam heute an leider nicht so wie abgebildet. Es war einfach nur in einer Plastikbehälter und auf dem Bild auf Amazon sieht man, dass es noch zusätzlich verpackt ist. Das Produkt ist viel zu weich, was vor und Nachteile bringt. Vorteil ist man schädigt der Auge nicht und Nachteil ist ich bekomme damit die Linse nicht raus. Es heißt ja Übung macht den Meister würde es jetzt noch ein paar mal probieren und mal schauen ob es was bringt. Ich bin auch unschlüssig, ob das benutzt ist, weil es mir so ein Gefühl gibt beziehungsweise es sieht nicht ganz frisch aus.

I had trouble every night removing the soft lens from my eye (I only wear one). One night I made 25 attempts, squeezing my fingers over the lens to no avail. I gave up and slept overnight with the lens in my eye. It came out the next morning. That’s when I decided to try the soft handler. This little device does not consistently grab the lens. I feel lucky when it does grab it (about every 5th night). However, what it DOES do is enable you to put enough pressure on the lens to move it from off-center, into the lower part of my eyeball, and in doing that, the seal breaks and allows me to grasp it with my fingers, fold it slightly and take it out with very little effort. I would not like to be without it ever again. Being able to break the seal means my fingers don’t have to touch my eyeball again, which is a relief, and is so much more sanitary. This device is definitely worth trying.

This product was a life saver!!! I read most of the reviews good and bad. I just opened the product and used it. It didn’t hurt. I didn’t feel it. Got the contact out in ONE try on both my problem eye and the easier one. I have artificial nails medium to short length. I’ve used contacts in the past about 7 years ago no issues.
I had issues to the point of buying this product and sleeping with my contacts until it came it. I used my prime so I got it Sunday. I didn’t want to mess up my problem eye more than what I have. And I went to 3 eye doctors and they said that it fell out, bought 4 different solutions and lubes, 4 different magnification mirrors from my bathroom 1x to 20x. But I got it out and my other lens from the same eye with this product!! Mmm…
Trick… Wash your hands, dry them, have all your stuff ready (solution, eye drops, lens case and a mirror with decent lighting). Keep the item dry. Have a steady hand. Put it towards the center of the contact. Close together as if youre tweezing hair. Grab. And pull out. The contact came out in ONE try with a 1x magnification.
I’m buying at least 2 more for my car and my work locker. Highly recommended!

I have astigmatism so I use monthly contacts and they are a little thicker and durable than dailies I will add. I could see this product not working for glass lenses but for disposables you have to make sure the flat part of the tips are making contact with the lens before squeezing. Don’t press hard or squeeze hard or you can scratch or tear your lense. But this thing is a game changer if you have issues with touching your eyes with your fingers or have nails. Plus if you clean it accordingly along with replacing your lense solution you can just plop your lenses right in the case to sit overnight. The little container it comes in is a plus to keep it clean.

Mit kleinen Zweifeln habe ich mir dieses Werkzeug bestellt. Einige Bewertungen hier ließen mich schlimmes erwarten! Doch siehe da, selbst ich als Kontaktlinsen-Neuling, der noch dazu mit dicken, dicken Fingern gestraft ist, habe die Linsen in sekundenschnelle aus dem Auge gehabt!
Definitiv eine sehr angenehme Methode, habe vorher so einen Saugpömpel benutzt, da meine Linsen jedoch gefallen an meinen Augen gefunden haben und sich schwer von meiner Hornhaut verabschieden wollen endeten die versuche mit diesem Werkzeug meistens mit einem kleinen “plopp”. Die Linse blieb jedoch an Ort und Stelle.
Ein Tipp zur Anwendung: Das Ding in die Handnehmen (die Pinzettenartige Seite ist zur Entnahme gedacht), vorsichtig an das Auge herranführen, mit leichtem Druck gegen das Auge zugreifen, und schon hat man die Linse sicher in der Hand! Im Endeffekt geht man gleich vor, als wenn man nur die Finger benutzen würde. Ich jedoch brauche ewig nur mit den Händen und meine Augen müssen doch sehr leiden, da ich auch Arbeitsbedingt sehr rauhe Finger habe.
Alles in allem ein super Werkzeug. Einsetzen geht damit auch super, wobei ich die größte Hilfe bei der Entnahme sehe.

I’m a new contact wearer who has 46 years of don’t-touch-your-eye-phobia imprinted into my brain. It took two visits to the eye doctor’s “Lens Trainer” (who was incredibly patient with me) before I was able to perform insert and removal to their satisfaction. But, of course, it was still a harrowing experience. This product came up on a Google search, and I figured that *anything* would be helpful.
I never found it helpful for insertion. Your aim has to be pretty precise to avoid catching eyelashes or eyelids, and this tool made that harder to do. A finger is more precise, and once you overcome your blink reflex, holding the lens against your eye until it seats is not at all uncomfortable.
For removal, it was a helpful crutch. In the early weeks when extraction was a 30 minute ordeal, I would switch off between the tool and my fingers. The tool would win about 60% of the time in the beginning, and as I progressed that number kept dropping until I just switched to fingers.
The “aha!” moment was discovering that the lens was getting stuck to my cornea. The tool doesn’t help in that situation. I found that I just have to really pour on the rewetting drops (every 10-15 min) in the hour before I take them out. Once the contacts freely slide on my eye, finger extraction is very simple.
I agree with other reviewers in that the rubber is too soft. I know it’s a fine line—they don’t want it too firm as that would risk eye injury. But the rubber is so soft that it’s difficult to get it to actually grip the lens. A few times I ended up applying pressure that was probably excessive, in order to get the tweezer end to spread out enough to grip and extract the lens.
Given it’s fairly inexpensive, and helpful as a training tool, I’d recommend it. But getting good with your fingers is important in the long run, as you don’t want to be dependant on something so easy to lose or forget to bring with you.

If you are getting this tool because you are having trouble getting your contact out (like I was) then forget about it. You will get just as much headache if not worse, and you lost your money.
If you are one of those people having trouble getting your contacts out, this tool won’t help. In some ways it is actually worse than using your hand, because there is no tactile feedback, so you lose force feedback and finesse of grip. Several dozen times I felt the contact coming almost out, only to have the rubber gripper lose the grip and have the contact slide right back in, at least with my fingers this never happened. So this tools is counter productive and wastes more time and makes it more frustration. No matter how you slice it, the tool has no gripping ability at all…
Now if you were one of those people that have no issues getting contacts out, then you wouldn’t be needing this in the first place. So no matter how you put it, this crap ain’t working. I would give this product negative five stars if I could.

Da ich leider wenigstens einen Stern vergeben muss, sonst geht die Rezension nicht weiter, steht hier ein Stern, wo eigentlich keiner stehen sollte. Das Produkt ist umständlich zu handhaben. Es funktioniert nur bei frisch eingesetzten Linsen, die noch nicht angesaugt sind. Ansonsten bekommt man die Linsen damit entweder gar nicht heraus oder man kann das Auge verletzten, was bei mir schon passiert ist. Überteuert.
