They are ok, but i ordered the wrong strings… and once the box is open it says you can’t return any of them 🙁

My acoustic bass sounds great witht the DR strings. I like the tone and they tend to stay tuned longer than my old set. I will buy and use this brand again. I am retired from playing live but still lplay and record and I plan on trying the DR Electric Bass Stings on a couple of my basses.

The E string sounds very dead and has a tinny, metallic tone that’s grating. The rest of the strings lack any brightness whatsoever. Sustain is mediocre and tonal issues can’t be dialed out in EQ.

The DR strings are the way to go, I’ve found these strings have an amazing sound and great feel. I highly recommend DR. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

I have been using DR strings for over 20 years and this set 3 of the 4 strings are flat…tone is gone. They sound as bad or worse than the set of DR’s I took off. Only the G string has any brightness/tone. E-A-D are gone. And I am meticulous about crimping and cutting.

This is m first set of DR bass strings. These strings have nice tone for my Epiphone El Capitan bass. They can be made to sound soft or raucous and metallic. I would definitely buy them again.
