Bel suono, ma soprattutto sono praticamente le uniche corde light con il SI basso da 120 che suona bene. Ci sono anche le Fender 7250-5L, che hanno la stessa scalatura, ma il SI è da 115, le ho provate ed è davvero troppo lasco. Le altre come le classiche D’Addario e Ernie Ball, nella versione lightnon scendono sotto il 125.
Ottime quindi se avete il tocco leggero e vi piacciono corde sottili e abbastanza morbide, ma in realtà con la giusta tensione. Attenzione al montaggio, all’interno della scatola sono stampate delle istruzioni, ma sono nella parte interna della scatola stessa (che deve essere aperta completamente) quindi è facile non accorgersene. In sostanza, siccome l’anima è tonda, prima di tagliarle bisogna piegarle con una pinza, pena il rischio che si sfilaccino.
Non abbiate paura, non è niente di complicato, a me non è mai successo. Basta guardare le pratiche immagini incluse nelle istruzioni. 🙂
Valgono il prezzo che costano? Beh, sarò sincero: non so dirlo. Le D’Addario EXL 220-5 e le Ernie Ball 2824 hanno una scalatura simile e costano molto meno. Con entrambe mi sono sempre trovato bene. Per quanto riguarda il suono, penso che in fondo suonino tutte simili, e non credo che in una situazione di palco o sala prove si riesca a apprezzare la differenza dati i mille fattori che influenzano il suono (pickup, equalizzazione, ampli/PA eccetera). Questo ovviamente per il mio livello tecnico e la mia strumentazione, non sono un professionista. Consiglio di prenderle almeno una volta e poi valutate voi.

Similar to the other reviewer here, the G string broke during restringing. Quite shocked – I put the old G back on that I was changing out since I already strung up the other four strings, but I will be leery of this set for the first few gigs I have coming up.

I’ve been an Elixir guy for a long time and still am but always felt that they were not quite the best fit for my SR5. So after trying a set of Pure Blues on another bass I knew they would be probably a better fit and feel to my String Ray and they are! These are the best non long-lasting round strings I’ve had so far.
