I’m not sure why the Amazon review asks for a rating of brightness, as I don’t know that I’m looking for a lot of brightness on lap-style square-neck resonator guitar. That being said, these are long lasting, like the company’s acoustic guitar strings. The best thing, though, is the great sustain–better than most other resonator guitar strings I’ve tried. I’ll buy them again over the others.

First off, Ill admit. I’m a ruster. My sweat corrodes metal fast. So as a guitar player I needed strings that would risist that ever time I played. Not just when i remembereed to wash my hands before playing, or oil my strings after playing. These strings are coated with an incredible non rusting coating, and therefore has stopped the constant need for me to restring, after Ive not played for a few weeks or months. these strings sound great and play better. they don’t “talk’ as much as other steal/bronze acoustic strings Ive owned. Try em’ you’ll agree!

I will not buy these again. Tend to break easier than other elixirs I have purchased.
That being said wonderful sound, a little brighter than I had hoped. That is no fault of the strings though. They are as advertised. I only use elixir on my dreadnought and these stay tuned, project, and resonate as good as any I’ve used. I just prefer something a little less bright and more rich.

Nice tone, works especially when played using a bottle neck. The coating that is used on the wound strings seems to smooth out the scratchiness that often occurs with uncoated strings, resulting in a smoother sound.
