Energizer LED Headlamp PRO (2-Pack), IPX4 Water Resistant

Due to a short electrical failure in our neighborhood I found how unprepared I was in a power outage. In total darkness I had a flashlight by the bed and I could navigate around the house to find out what had gone wrong and wait for the power to return. Living in a rural area, when the power is out BLACK is BLACK! Once I got to the garage I located my headlamp. Once I placed the headlamp (not this one) on, I was amazed at the amount of light everywhere I looked. With a headlamp it is almost the same as having the ceiling light on, at that point I made a mental note, buy more headlamps.
The energizer headlamp is perfect for the situation above, inexpensive , small, light weight, uncomplicated, and a very bright light with adjustable intensities. It is perfect for in the house emergencies and in my opinion not for outside work, tactical situations or night hikes. It will survive a drop on the floor from the waist but I doubt a drop from head height unless it is on carpet.

I now have a headlamp mounted on hooks at each side of the bed headboard in the master bedroom, by each pedestrian door into my garage and various other critical points around the house. If a find out different from the next outage I will reevaluate my emergence plan. GOODLUCK!

I do plumbing nice not to drag cord and light . It’s last through out my work day. Bright enough to do my jobs. In attics, under sinks in closets. Again great illuminated light other headlamps don’t compare. A.d great price . (2) for $12 and comes with batteries. Great gift as well for family and friends 🧡.

A good, basic headlamp that is easy to open, has an adjustable strap and a tilt capability. The tilt adjustment is coarse, about 22 degrees per detent, so only the first two settings are of use when walking or running, and third position for close work. I don’t know what the 90 degree and 112 degree settings would be useful for, unless you want to tell ghost stories around the campfire!

The lamp does not have a regulated output, so brightness will diminish as the batteries discharge, but I would not expect regulation in such an inexpensive lamp. Not rated for rechargeable batteries and won’t function with NiMH; but I didn’t expect that either. The two pack came with 6 AAA batteries that were past the use-by date, but for the price of the batteries were “free”.

If you use a headlamp every day, consider getting a lamp that can run on rechargeable batteries and has regulated output. I have such a lamp that cost 4 times as much as this 2-pack, and worth it to me. For an emergency kit in your car or go bag, these lamps are perfect adequate and a good value; and having two hands free when the unexpected happens after dark is priceless.

Overall, great, basic light. One thing you need to do is put a piece of dark tape (eclectic or gorilla) on the bottom part of the lense. If you don’t do this, you get a bad glare from the light. Once you do this, they work great.

It is bright, light weight, affordable, functional, simple, and comfortable. My one complaint is about the modes. There are 4 modes (Red Light, medium, high, low in that order). When you first power it on, the first mode is a red light, so you have to press the power button 2 times to get to the normal mode, and 3 times to get to high. I have never and probably will never use the red light so i wish it was the last option instead of the first, (or preferably a separate mode with it’s own dedicated button). But that is a small complaint and I’m still happy with the purchase.

I used to have a headset that was USB charging and honestly that somewhat ticked me off. Because often I was in the middle of a job and then… no power. These take 3 AAA included batteries and if you run out of juice, you can go right back to work within 30 seconds with new batteries!

The built quality is great, it’s solid and comfortable to wear. Not too heavy and just feels natural to have on your head.

It’s bright enough with a few settings at the press of the one button that rotates modes. That’s something I never really liked though because I always use the “BRIGHTEST” mode and don’t care about the red light… kinda bright… semi bright… FINALLY ITS BRIGHT mode! I wished it was just “on/off”, but thats just me. Some people like options. Personality I like it quick and no fuss.

Still i recommend this 5 stars, and you get TWO of those at that price?? Brilliant… pun intended.
