I bought the 36x18x18 for my python. I was excited to have more creative access (side doors), and improve the airflow from my previous setup. The raised bottom allows for a variety of substrate heaters and still has a bit over 1/2 inch clearance. I have a constant heater running and have not had any problems with the wood stand underneath getting hot. The bottom section with air venting seems to be great for reptilian setups. The bottom is strong and sturdy, while the top is a bit weaker. It’s almost like two different manufacturers from bottom to top.
The doors are a great touch, but that is where my problems started. The bottom of the doors latch firmly in place with a twist lock. This feature is fantastic. The top of the doors somewhat stay in place with a magnet. This is not so great. Currently, I’m not worried about my snake getting out, but I was shocked to see how easy it was to push open a gap with my finger at the top.
The framing at the top of the setup is also very flimsy. I don’t expect to have to move the setup, but if I did, I would be concerned about the top frame. The screen on top is a wash. I have seen better, I have seen worse. I will say that the locks for securing the top mesh are great and work splendidly. There no way that anything I would consider having as a pet would get through those.
The “picture” in the back of the setup is underrated. With sliding ports on the top cage to allow for wiring, and hollowed out sections in the picture, it’s a great way to run wired components into the terrarium. I don’t currently have anything wired in, but the option is great.
Overall, I would say this is an excellent setup. The smart design and robust base more than made up for the flimsiness on top. I might be concerned with powerful / aggressive reptiles and the top corners of the doors, but for anything else, it seems perfect. I would buy another in an instant.
PROS:
– Price is actually reasonable for what you get.
– Sturdy bottom, with elevated base for heating and wiring.
– Ventilation is great.
– Variable dimensions really let you customize, and it can be hard to find affordable wide terrariums that aren’t junk
CONS:
– Flimsy top frame (may not really affect anything in many setups, does not effect integrity as far as pets getting out, for example)
– Flimsy top corners of doors (again – may not be a concern with most pets)
OVERALL:
– Would buy again and recommend to anyone

Not a hit on the product, but I really wish I knew what companies were going to deliver my product before I click complete. The shipping was the worst experience ever. They said they called to schedule a time, but I had no message. I got the email from Amazon that they were trying to reach me, so I called on Saturday. The corporate office gave me a local number to call, and the person who answered said they did not schedule deliveries on Saturdays and that the office was closed (I don’t think I’ve ever talked to a live human working in a closed office before). I called back on Monday and was given the option to receive the deliver on a Saturday (which makes it even more odd that the office is closed then). I opted for the weekday instead and got a delivery window of 11am-5pm. Guess I am taking the day off from work to work around the plumbers hours… Then they came and dropped off my terrarium and both glass doors were broken. This may not be CEVA’s fault but by this point they were my scapegoat for the whole debacle…
Anyway, Amazon was great, the lady I talked to was very nice and my doors are en route.
If I ever find out that my only shipping option is CEVA, I will probably not purchase the product.

Har väntat en månad på leverans, först fastnade den i ”Amazons system”, sedan fick jag besked av det usla företaget UPS att den ska levereras den20 juni. På kvällen samma dag uppdaterades spårningen till ”skadad den kan inte levereras. ”
Katastrof!

It was a big step up for my bearded dragon (abe) from his 20 gallon tank. I like the way the background looks, although keep in mind it is made of Styrofoam…so when your lizard decided to try to climb on it, you’ll hear it. other than that, no issues. Plenty of room to put decor in and tunnels and whatnot. I used some zoo med cultivating clay to make a couple of tunnels (there is plenty of room in here to do that with) and also to hold some basking branches in place. one thing i learned is that if you are upgrading the size of your terrarium, UPGRADE THE SIZE OF YOUR LAMPS. it’s more area to heat so you need more bulb to do it. The hinges on the front doors are in perfect working order and makes everything much easier. I don’t think I’ve taken the top off once since i got it (aside from arranging the inside). Another thing, if you regularly feed your pet live food (like crickets) make sure you seal off the two little slits at the bottom of the foam background. I’m not entirely sure what the purpose of them are, but they would be an easy getaway for a live snack to get away and crawl behind; so just make sure you anticipate that. You could probably get away with covering it up with deep enough sand or do what i did and use the cultivating clay. Another thing i ran into was buying the “Repti Hammock” to go with this cage. If you have one you will more than likely have to take the background off or sacrifice one of the opening doors. I sacrificed the hammock itself and left the background, but that’s just personal preference. It did however just dawn on me that the two little slits are probably for heat rocks or pads so you can hide the wire. But either way, critters can still crawl behind there so you’ll need to cover them up. Overall, a great cage, plenty of room to make it like you want it, and so far my dragon love his extra room.

I had the zoo med 40 gal starter kit and the dementions of that were 36x18x16 as it advertises… I purchased this exo terra terrarium because it was a little taller and I liked the front opening option as well as the ventilation… come to find out that the dementions of this tank are completely wrong. They are 35.5×17.3/4×18. I know that doesn’t sound like a huge difference but the point was a bigger tank not smaller & I used tile as a substrate for my beardy and now that the sizing is different they don’t fit which is very frustrating. Back to using crushed walnut until I can go get new tiles. I called exo terra to resolve the issue and they “claim” the dementions are based on the bottom border which would still be wrong. They did absolutely nothing for me. VERY UNHAPPY. Make sure you check before you purchase.

primi 3 arrivati distrutti, il quarto finalmente integro! Prodotto ottimo! Non capisco chi paghi quelli che ho reso x’ arrivati rotti, ma la mia perseveranza e’ stata premiata… se non avete fretta, posso solo consigliare di insistere…

I originally gave this terrarium 1 star because I purchased it twice through Amazon. The first time it didn’t even make it because it broke. The second time it made it and it was broke. So then I ordered it through valued pet supplies and it arrived via fed ex, neatly and tightly package, and guess what?? It wasn’t broke. Amazon should only use FedEx for these types of items so people can stop getting a shipment of shattered glass. I see a few others have complained as well. Other than that I love the terrarium. It looks really good and I’m sure my ball pyhton will be happy. She will be able to live in there for her whole life. I got the 36x18x18

I purchased 2 of these tanks. I purchased my daughters a month before getting one for my snake. I’ve also purchased heat pads that are designed for these tanks. My daughters tank has had a heat pad running and is fine. I’ve had tanks in the past with heat pads and they all are fine. I set mine up and two weeks later went to change the bedding and noticed that only underneath the heat pad the glass had cracked. It probably happened right away but I didn’t notice until cleaning time. This is obviously a flaw in this specific tank. I emailed the company as this is almost a $400.00 dollar tank and I deserve to be treated fairly. I haven’t heard a word back from them on replacing the tank and it is going on 2 weeks.

Al quarto acquisto consecutivo è arrivato con un vetro notevolmente scheggiato anziché tutti e cinque completamente distrutti, di questo passo al sesto tentativo forse mi arriva integro.
