I’m feeding this to my 20 tropheus red rainbow frys. This is my 2nd container of those flakes. The frys are growing fast.
I’m not sure if this would be appropriate to feed adults tropheus with those flake because of the meat proteine amount.

I’m also feeding this to a male adult tropheus in a hospital tank, that is recovering from bloat/sunken belly after his treatment and not feeding him for 1-2 weeks. His belly is starting to look closer to normal after feeding on those flakes for 1+ week.

I have an Asian Flap shell turtle who is a very picky eater. He absolutely LOVES Bug Bites though. He has very specific dietary requirements, and so he can’t eat only Bug Bites, or he most certainly would… one whole bag at a time. Also, once he has some Bug Bites, he rejects the rest of his food, and tries to hold out for more bug Bites. Therefore, I save the Bug Bites for last. They are, in a way, his desert. I’ve been feeding these to him for several weeks now, and he has not once turned his nose up at them.

The turtles & cats hear the bucket get opened & come running. Only the turtles get to eat it so I’m not sure what the cats fascination with it is.

It’s a few bucks more expensive than other brands, but I don’t mind since most every other turtle foods are made from horrible ingredients. Soldier fly larvae are also the number ingredient, and are known to be the highest calcium insect in the world. Which is great since turtles need a lot of calcium. There’s also salmon in it which is super healthy with the omega vitamins. I’m guessing the salmon is also why my alligator snapping turtles love it so much. I feed them shrimp, grasshoppers, crickets, mealworms, minnows and yet they go for this turtle food first. Probably the only thing they like more is freshly caught crappie, or perch from the lake. I would say don’t even bother with other brands. This one blows them out of the water.
