I installed this light over the door to my workshop where I have a backup generator for the house. It is easy to install and setup. The staff has small plate with a place for two screws at about the center line. This attaches to a wall. I am concerned that the mounting plate and placement of the screws might not be adequate to support the light with the weight of snow. Time will tell. The light’s battery was charged sufficiently for it to work the first night. It stayed on on its dim setting all night long. The second night, it did not last all night. It does not get full sun where I have it mounted.
The light can be set in sensor mode so that it is a moderate brightness normally, and then turns on bright when you approach from about 20 feet. This works well. The remote control lets you turn the light off / on and set the mode of operation. The remote has a range of about 30 feet. The light distribution is nice and even throughout a 180 degree range. It lights an area of about 40 feet adequately to see to walk when it is on dim. On bright, it won’t blind you, but it is quite bright enough. Bear in mind that if you install it under an eve on your house, it might not get enough light to stay charged. This is not the case in the location I chose. All in all, its a good device and I recommend it. Any problems develop, I will update this review.

I ordered these for emergency indoor lighting.
To use them indoors, turn on the unit by pressing the “on/off” button, set the light level using the “+” and “-” buttons on the remote, then turn off auto-dimming by pressing “auto” on the remote. Set the light face-up on top of a tall bookcase or bathroom cabinet. The light will wash across the ceiling, and illuminate the whole room nicely.
Before storing, charge it in sunlight (there’s no USB port), then press the “on/off” button. Use the button on the unit, not the remote, so the unit turns entirely off.
Here are all the ways the lamp is controlled:
1 — The main “on/off” button, which serves as a hard on/off for the unit. This button overrides the remote; if turned “off”, the unit won’t accept commands from the remote.
2 — The remote, which sets a soft on/off for the current session (“ON/OFF”), light level (“+” and ”-”), motion-sensing on (“Radar”), off (“Auto”), or temporarily off (“2H NO SEN”, “3H NO SEN”, “4H NO SEN”). The lamp will quickly flash once to show that it’s accepted the command from the remote. The remote has no lights in it.
3 — The white motion-sensing dome, which turns the lamp from dim to high when motion is detected (if motion-sensing is on).
4 — The solar panel, which turns the light off when it’s bright out, and briefly flashes a red light under the motion-sensing dome to indicate that the solar panel is sensing light.
At first, the light would sometimes randomly turn off, but this stopped once I turned the unit on with the “on/off” button, and then used the remote to choose either motion-sensing (“Radar”) or constant light (“Auto”). So my advice is: use the remote every time you start a new session, and don’t lose the remote. The remote appears essential for consistency.
The solar panel appears to be glass, which should stay cleaner than plastic and not yellow in the sun.
I don’t know how long the battery will last in storage, but I will check them in a few months and update the review if they don’t hold a charge.

Beware the picture on the webpage. It makes it seem as if the light is three feet long. In reality, it is only 19″ long.
I mounted this on the wall next to the door on my storage shed. Installation was easy with only two screws needed to install. Since I mounted into wood siding, no extra fiddling with inserts or blocking was required. It is very lightweight and can be done by one person with no extra effort.
Once I let it charge for 24 hours I turned it on and was almost shocked to see how bright it was. I have tried the different settings and they all seem to work as they should. My only concern is that on the top of the light, there are small baffles where the stem meets the light. There are tiny holes to drain any water that may accumulate, but it wouldn’t take a whole lot of debris to plug these holes and cause water to sit in the baffles. Time will tell if this is truly waterproof. The remote control worked as it should with no dud clicks.

There’s a shed I own in a very dark backyard that abuts a wooded area. The shed is situated next to a forested region that is teeming with wildlife, including gophers, foxes, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, and coyotes. Something to provide some brightness was much needed. It’s the ideal solar floor light. It’s blazing. I put it outdoors to get some power from the sun, but I haven’t installed it yet. It’s getting dusk, and it’s quite huge and reactive. The light is 14 inches long, and that’s well over 25 inches when the stem is joined. It is long enough to reach over obstacles and screws in at the base. This is a perfect solution to light up that are and see what is lurking in the shadows at night!

The light right next to my unit has been out for months so I was excited to receive this item and immediately put it up. The area it is installed has at least 8hrs of Arizona sun per day so I had high hopes. Despite the abundance of sun, the light won’t stay on for more than 3-4hrs. I don’t know if I got a dud and would have liked to switch it out but I couldn’t find a way to directly contact the seller and there was no exchange option when trying to return. I think there was also an issue trying to change the setting on the light. I tried over multiple days and tried more than once by pushing the radar button on the remote but it always seemed the light was at 100% until just before turning off. While it was easy to install and the light at 100% had good coverage, it didn’t seem to function properly and wouldn’t stay on for more than a few hours.
