When I got it it was broken –
Probably would have been alright if not damaged

Affordable and easy to use, easy to install and easy to access while riding, however 2 major cons, 1 being the same complaint as everyone else has and that’s that the speakers are too quiet, mic seems good though according to those on the other end of the calls I’ve made.
However unfortunately after only the second time being able to actually use it the speakers/mic are defective, they cut in and out like an old pair of headphones that have to has the wires bent in just the exact right manner, and as soon as you let go they cut back, for obvious reason this is not acceptable on a motorcycle as it is extremely dangerous to hold the wires the whole ride, I unfortunately cannot give a better review as not having functioning mic and speakers makes the entire unit pretty well useless, maybe new ones may help

Highly impressed with this new freedconn unit. I had the original (still have in fact) and this new model is not only better in every way, but cheaper too! I love the fact that you don’t have to remove the speakers to charge it, I love the new clip on mount instead of the old one that literally screwed into your helmet. and I love the sound quality. I can easily hear this at motorway speeds. For anything under 40mph I probably don’t even turn the volume up halfway. It comes with the clip on mount and a stick on mount. It also comes with two sets of velcro pads. This, along with the two mounts is an absolute boon for me as my main helmet has currently got a scratched visor so I’m using my spare. I have a set of pads in the spare helmet and a set in the main helmet. When the visor arrives, I can just move the unit over to the other helmet. I may even purchase a second set of speakers and microphones so I just have to unplug and switch the control unit. Out of the box it had 70% battery. I rode for an hour today and it still has 70% battery. The sound quality is very good for a helmet headset. It’s not Bang and Olufson but it’s very acceptable for riding and a huge improvement on the old model. Phone conversations were fine as well. I could hear them clearly, they could hear me. It comes with two microphones. For full face helmets, I would use the button mic with the velcro tab, but for my flip fronts I use the boom mic. I cannot recommend this unit enough. It also works as an intercom apparently but I have no idea how to do that and I don’t have a use for it. It’s far easier to use the voice dial to phone whoever you’re riding with and not mess around connecting units. No complaints at all. Easy to fit, easy to use and a very capable system.

The sound is good and the mic works great when I first connected it to my phone the volume was pretty quiet but I found that it has its own volume control with both my phone and device turned up its really loud would recommend

Just like bluetooth.. works great with my buddies when we ride. Good distance too. Long battery life. Easy installation.

These installed well and the controls are great. The sound quality and volume is sub-par. Music volume level sounds ok at full volume while in my house. I doubt that I could hear it while riding. The quality of the audio was very poor. If these were $20, they might be a deal, but at $40 they are very poor value.
JayPReview –
Great product for the price. I bought 2 units, one for myself and my fiance. Very easy to install and set up. I do wish the volume was louder.
The adhesive for the mic was a little weak so I will use the glue gun to keep it from loosening. I did notice that my phone had some difficulty connecting. I just had to reset the device, kind of annoying when you’re on the go.
Overall though, I am a happy customer.
I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now. I will give an updated review a year from now and let you guys know.

I was looking for budget speakers to listen to music with. I don’t ride with others and don’t make calls so it really wasn’t important to me for those aspects.
I did try one other Amazon headset before this (think it was Moman brand) and the ear pieces were slightly thicker than these and the mic was chunky which ended up feeling like it was sitting in my mouth with while having it in so I returned that and got these which I am much happier with.
I go on weekend cruises so not pushing battery life so have had no issues there. Bluetooth connectivity was solid, never had any disconnects or issues pairing. Sound quality is solid, no complaints with it but if you are an picky about that it may leave you wanting more but I am happy with it. Surprisingly as well, I was going to install it without the mic but the soft connection fits comfortably without touching my face in my full face helmet so I attached it as well. Ear pieces do press a bit into my ears and can get uncomfortable over time but not bad for me personally but I think that depends on your helmet.
Overall considering the cost and what you get, terrific product. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a budget headset for music and maybe GPS directions. I am completely happy with it!
When I got it it was broken –
Easy fit to helmet .
Speaker’s are nice size not to fat and again easy fitment.
Connection is easy to phone .
Nice clear sound when listening to satnav or phone call .
For the money it’s a great buy.

It works well for solo riding and listening to music. Went on a group ride and once we got on the interstate, my group commented that it sounded like someone was rustling a bag of chips. I even had my chin vent closed in preparation to the highway speeds.

The problems I have with this product have to do with the software and some strange design choices (which could be changed with an update if this has the capability). Once the battery is around half empty it will stop your music (AND GOOGLE MAPS INSTRUCTIONS) once every thirty seconds to say “battery low”, even though there are still several hours of use left. Additionally, even though voice commands work well and the calls are audible for both parties, do NOT walk around carrying your helmet without turning it off. If the device bumps your leg for too long or you set it down wrong, it will call whoever you talked to last. I ended up spam calling someone with a professional relationship about 10 times from a walk around Walmart holding my helmet normally.
These are easily avoidable, which is why I gave 4 stars. Just plug it in every 4-5 rides, and turn it off before you walk around with your helmet to avoid embarrassment. Overall a very solid product, especially for the price.
