I was recommended to purchase this product from waterfowl & upland bird guides that use this collar on their dogs. I’ve found this product helpful as the tone feature alone gets my highly energetic lab’s attention well. I have found the bark limiter feature incredibly useful as it gradually increases the vibration as my dog continues to bark vs. full zap after making one small sound. I like the 10 settings for the shock as I would not need the highest setting on my pup unless in emergency. Very water resistant, easy to clean and quick to charge. The battery life lasts me a couple days for the collar and more for the remote. However, I do use the collar minimally vs. dogs that are hunting every day. I think this product is super quality and worth the investment. I did find it a bit confusing how to program and operate as this is my first e-collar I’ve used.. but once I got the the hang of it I have little issues. Was not asked to leave this review – hope it’s helpful to others.

Works as advertised and gets my dog’s attention without needing max power. Range seems decent as far as I can tell and watertight integrity appears to be there. I’ve been using it in SE Alaska on cold rainy/snowy days without problem. The vibration doesn’t appear to register with the dog for some reason
Two things that could be better:
– as mentioned by others, the lack of belt clip is frustrating and the fact that the one they sell for it then occludes the charge port is just silly.
– the cords for charging everything couldn’t be more contrived. There are three cords that attach together to get the job done and it’s just way more sloppy than it needs to be and opens you up to misplacing any one of a number of pieces.
Despite the two minor flaws, I’d still buy it again and recommend to friends.

My dog loves this collar. Whenever I pick it up, he knows he is going for a walk, or, during the season, he is going hunting. I love it, as the battery lasts for several excursions and use it every day when I take him for a walk. I see people going for walks with their dogs, being dragged down the path as their dogs have never learned to heel. I rarely even use a leash as my best friend heels when I ask.
With this collar, I can send him a gentle reminder with a vibration, or I can use a heavy hand, like I had to do when he took off after a fox one morning. (He quickly gave up the chase.)
In the field, when hunting, he quickly listens when I call his name or give him a directional signal. I think I actually use the shock feature less than ten times per year. After nine or ten seasons, I just had to replace the unit as the controller died. I could have just replaced the hand held controller, but the collar was pretty worn looking after nearly daily use for so many years.
If you are looking for an affordable collar with adjustable strength of correction which will last for years of daily use, I highly recommend this product.

I am sure that this collar saved my dogs life. I have a Brittany spaniel and he responded so well to the e-collar. I’ve had no malfunction issues, it’s great in the water, he even swims in the ocean with it. The only time the charge ran out on me was one time when we got separated in deep woods, and I couldn’t find him and kept pressing the button for a couple hours straight. Of course, it turned out he had found his way back to the car and was waiting for me there anyway. I say that it probably saved his life because he used to run off and go straight into traffic. I once stopped 4 lanes of busy traffic to get him after he darted out of the car. Now with this collar his recall has improved so much that I no longer have to even worry about that. It has a maximum of 10 levels, and I have never had to use it beyond a five, and that was in an extreme situation. Typically he responds well at a level two or three, but he is headstrong so occasionally we need level four. It still takes a lot of consistent use and training but I really enjoy being able to have an off leash dog now. The only thing I would change would be may be a strap or buckle for the remote. I have almost lost it a few times, however, there is a place to tie something to it. I just haven’t figured out the best way to do that.

I have a very active young Labrador retriever who is terrible in terms of coming back when called. I have never been a fan of shock collars however, this product changed my mind 100%. My dog got trained within 10 minutes of using this collar after watching YouTube videos explaining the process. She now comes when called and is very easy to deal with. I hardly ever need to turn up the power past the setting of three. I would highly recommend this product.
