So far I have been impressed how quickly this thing can shred paper. I have since tried old credit cards and it just eats them up too. It can handle papers that been stapled too. The settings and features are pretty straightforward. Mine arrived damaged, but so does a lot of stuff these days. If I have any problems getting a replacement bin, I will report back here in two weeks and give a 1 star rating. But so far, I really like how it functions and with any paper jams it goes into reverse mode automatically and corrects it, then shreds it.

Out of dozens of paper shredders that I’ve used over the years, this is the most impressive within its price range. The only one more significant was an expensive industrial one that we used for an entire building when I was in college. What I like about this one is that you can easily shred multiple pages at once, stacked. But I did notice that there were some limitations with it. Namely shredding anything that was significantly thick on its own (event flyers on heavy card stock). But otherwise, a fantastic machine. I would have been on the fence about buying it at the introductory price. But the manufacturer has since lowered the price several hundred dollars, making it a solid investment now.

I bought this for a small office of about 20 people. It lasted about one year before it began to fail. As some others have stated, it is very messy to empty, we opted to put a small trash bag in the bin to help with the mess but you will still get lots of small pieces of paper on the floor.
It’s not offensively loud but it is definitely not quiet. The automatic feeder is quieter than the manual feeder.
I would not recommend based on price and longevity of the product, there are definitely better options out there.

This is an expensive shredder, but will undoubtedly save money over time in an office setting.
My profession imposes several file/records keeping requirements. Some files may be disposed of after 8 years, others must be retained indefinitely. Storage of these files is expensive…I rent a climate controlled storage unit and had to purchase filing cabinets as there is simply not enough room in my office condo. Therefore, I want to dispose of files as quickly as I’m allowed. I also face regulations as to the method of disposal, I can’t simply toss the files in the dumpster or recycle bin. Shredding at the office with the typical office shredder was totally impractical for the periodic file purges due to short duty cycles and small capacity sheet feeders. The only practical solution was to hire one of those companies that shreds documents on site. Those services are expensive, take a great deal of time to prepare for their arrival and to monitor things while they are there.
This shredder by GBC is the perfect solution. First, this one micro shreds providing even more security than the typical shredder, it is classified as a high security shredder. Second, you can stack 230 sheets of paper in the automatic feeder and let it do its thing…no more standing there and feeding 8-10 pages at a time. You also don’t have to worry about removing staples or paper clips, another time saver. This has a 30 minute duty cycle…many shredders’ duty cycles are only 5-10 minutes before you have to allow them to cool off. The bin holds 16 gallons so you don’t have to continuously empty it.
It’s very quiet and easy to use. It’s on 4 castors so you can roll it around easily. According to the GBC website, it comes with a two year warranty.
This is a feature rich, quality shredder that appears to be the ideal solution to my shredding needs.

K, this is overkill for home use, but for Small office and home office it is great.
came with wheels and it has large bin capacity.
The cut size is very small, which makes this really secure shredder. smaller than the space between my knuckles.
The manual feed takes regular sheets well, however with smaller papers like receipts, or bended paper, it might need to be pushed down to reach the grabber that is inside of the cover. it does take 8 sheets.
I totally love the auto feed. I was worried that it has to be neat stacks of paper. but as it turns out. it takes all sizes at once. I put a stack of different size and shape paper. it handled it so well, I was really amazed.
there will be time that it seems to be stuck. then I see it reverses the jam and retry on it’s own. pretty awesome. it even took small stapled stacks.
there are some conditions that this would not work well. which it will stop and beep to le me know that I need to check.
1. if I have thicker envelopes in the stack.
2. if I have slick advertisement papers.
It also does credit cards and other small cards via the manual feed.
I was able to fit a 30 gallon trashbag to help me manage the trash.
The price is steep. but well worth the money for office use.
