Have to say I was worried at first because I’ve never heard of the brand but I was pleasantly surprised. I’m actually getting slightly higher par than what the box says it puts out which is great because I was worried about it only being 36 watts. The colors are pretty customizable. Has red,green,blue,white,violet and uva. Can basically get whatever color you want if you play with the settings of each color, which was a plus for me because my wife loves a pink light, so I turn it pink just for her occasionally. Controller is decent, you can turn on and off or dim or brighten, that’s it. I think it lowers and brightens in 10 percent increments. Says 18 to 24 inches but it actually sits on my tank which is only 16 1/2 inches wide. For under a 100 bucks you really can’t go wrong. The app is super convenient to and can be set up on wireless to be able to get alerts or change the color or brightness remotely. It also doesn’t mention in description but the lights to ramp up and ramp down. The digital thermostat or awesome as well and super accurate. Overall I have to say I love it and definitely recommend if you are on a budget. No it’s not a kessil or ai prime but for the price you really can’t beat. Also I did not take these pictures with an orange filter so colors are not popping like they do in person. I give it 4.5 stars but Amazon doesn’t have that option. Only feature I wish it had would to be able to set the lights to the same spectrum and schedule of where the corals are native to but it’s fine. Thumbs up

The App was easy to get up and running with the light and is pretty much a necessity, there’s very little adjustment/control on the light itself. App programming can be either easy (Auto-Basic) or fully custom (Auto-Pro). The temperature probe is a very useful feature.
The Auto mode is kind of misleading. The pre-programmed default settings are pretty generic so you’ll want to adjust them for your own liking. I was expecting it to be fully automatic without much input from me but that’s not the case.

I purchased the 48″ light for my 75 gallon saltwater tank. I just received it last night. The light does not connect to my Deco wifi, also purchased from Amazon. Since it does not connect to wifi, there is no clock. Therefore, the automatic lighting system is useless. I am very disappointed.

Recently upgraded my saltwater tank lighting with the Smart Reef Coral Light, and here’s what I’ve found:
Spectrum and Corals
It’s geared towards both LPS and SPS corals with a six-channel full-spectrum setup. From cool whites at 6500K and 10000K to cyans, blues, violets, UVA, and reds, it aims to mimic natural ocean light for coral growth. Neat in theory, and so far, my corals seem to be responding well.
App Control
The app control is a standout, offering WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Pretty slick being able to tweak my tank’s lighting from my phone, even when the WiFi’s down. Setting up different zones with specific intensities for my varied coral collection is a game-changer, providing that personalized touch to each tank section.
Temperature Monitoring
The real-time water temperature sensor is a nice bonus. It keeps tabs on the tank’s temp, and I get alerts if things go out of the preferred range. Peace of mind, especially during those hot summer days.
Installation and Safety
Mounting was straightforward with its C-type support design, feeling secure once in place. The IP67 waterproof rating is reassuring, considering its role atop an aquarium.
Overall Thoughts
While I hoped for a “set and forget” Auto mode, the generic settings mean I’ve had to play around with the app more than expected. But, with its smart zone control and the detailed spectrum options, the effort seems worth it for the health and visual appeal of my tank. Just be ready to dive into that app and experiment to get the most out of it. Solid choice for the tech-savvy aquarist aiming for precision in their coral care.

This thing is powerful, sturdy, and has lots of settings to mess with on the app. Def a bit of a learning curve but easy enough for a beginner and probably technical enough for more proficient enthusiasts. Def what we needed.

I was very hesitant to get this since it’s not “name brand” and there weren’t nearly as many reviews as other big company lights (smatfarm, nicrew) but i am so glad i did. i got the 30”-36” light for my 20 gallon long reef tank. i cant speak to the lights growing abilities just yet but i will definitely update my review in a few months. as you can see, this thing is POWERFUL. i was getting > 450 PAR on the top of my rocks just a few inches under the light with no glass lid! holy cow!! i will also say that setup was beyond easy. like it took me maybe 5 minutes to set up the app and click one of the preset modes and that was that. i am beyond impressed with this light and i cant wait to see what my new corals think!!
