These work great, however, most of the presets are so fast at blinking that it is almost seizure inducing, with no way to slow the presets down. Other than that, they are bright and fairly easy for custom settings.

I have enjoyed the Govee Outdoor String Lights so far. They are bright, colorful, and easy to control with the app. They add a festive touch to my patio and make it more inviting. The app has many features and options to customize the lights, such as changing the color, brightness, mode, and timer. I can also sync the lights with music or create my own scenes.
The only downside is that they were a little tricky to connect to the app at first. I had to follow the instructions carefully and make sure the Bluetooth was on and close to the lights. These lights are pretty awesome. I’m becoming a pretty big Govee junkie. I have four strings of these, a string of the ground lights, the TV backlights, and a vehicle set. The app is great, never had any connectivity issues, fully compatible with Alexa and they are bright af. Fully customizable, tons of presets and if you get them on sale or with a decent coupon the value is even greater for the money. You can string 2 of the 48ft strings together and the app will recognize it as one string so great versatility. Haven’t had them for a full AZ summer yet so we’ll see how they hold up but so far rain has not affected them at all. I love that the bulbs are plastic and virtually shatterproof (again, we’ll see what a hot, dry summer does to them) instead of glass. I’ve had a lot of glass bulbs shatter just looking at them wrong. Get ’em. You’ll like ’em.
***slight revision: the string lights are NOT Alexa-compatible. I forgot I had them plugged in to a smart plug. They can only be controlled via the app. You can turn them on and off via a smart plug but all settings are controlled via the app, as others have said. My bad!

Getting used to the app and how to do things but these are great. Ordered a second set. I dont do good reviews often but i like these a lot. Theyre more durable plastic lights and that right away i was nervous about as they looked cheap. They’re not! So far durable and great looking. Decorating our garage sensory room currently. Pictures and videos do these no justice!

Read the manual first! Compared to most instruction manuals you get with products like this, it is very informative.
I purchased 2 x 48′ strings to connect together for our outdoor area. When I first plugged them in individually, each string worked. When I connected the strings together and plugged them in, the results were less than I hoped. Only the string with the power supply plugged in would light up. When I plugged them in separately the lights would not be in sync when I changed the colors, or 1 string would turn on, then the other string would come on but the first would turn off.
I finally read the instructions and found that there is a button with something like 2 chain links on it that you have to press in order to let the remote know to operate 2 strings! DOH! After that hey worked great!
I also purchased a weather resistant box to hold the power supply since that is something that everyone, including the manufacturer, states is NOT weather proof!
I just installed the lights, so I have not had them up during rough weather. I’m hoping that having them under the eaves and out of the worst of the weather will keep them operating for a long time.
The light output is just what we wanted. The white is bright enough to provide a nice environment, but not too bright. If I need bright I’ll just turn on my ceiling lights. The other colors are great for what they are needed for.

I have owned and enjoyed these Govee lights for a couple years. Just purchased a second set but am not allowed to add it to the phone app without setting up an account. I was able to do everything I needed before with this model without an account. I don’t appreciate being forced to provide personal information for reasons that clearly have nothing to do with the user experience.
Edit: While trying to install this string I realized it actually isn’t the same at all as the one I previously bought from this exact listing. The old version had a continuous wire with lights T’d off from it. The new version I received is completely inferior with separate segments of wire connecting each light to the next in a daisy chain. When trying to hang these from a steel cable I found that these cannot be hung from the built in plastic hooks because the lights are weighted such that they will settle facing strait up in the air everytime rather than down towards the ground. This terrible design probably saved them a few pennies during manufacturing but cost me hours as I was forced to fix each and every light with 2 zip ties to force them to face down. I also had to splice the incoming power line to extend it since its only a bout 4 feet long and I cant have the controller module hanging in the air above my patio.
All in all these light have some really cool features and for certain application they might be fine. I’m upset enough to leave a 1 star review because changes were made to the software for no other reason than to give Govee access to my personal information with out any benefit to the consumer. Changes were also made to the product itself that make it completely inferior to previous versions.
