Gives off a good amount of heat. Works well. The little tanks do frost up but I think that happens with all these table top heaters. Great for fall movie night on the deck.

Facile à monter, livraison rapide, facile à transporter, fonctionne bien .Par contre, il est vrai qu’il faille prévoir une petite bonbonne de propane pour environ 3 heures d’utilisation.

Perfect for exterior table. Not as hot as taller one, but just nice temp. Installation is easy, and it wont burn my gazebo even if table is just under. overall nice product. we will see if it resist the time. So far so good after 4 month. i<m running on small 1lb tank, which fit in the base, but there is a hole in the bottom of the unit, so you can pass a cable to bigger 20lbs tank (not included).

Unit performed correctly for three evenings.
On day 4 the pilot would light, main burner would light then the unit would shutdown after 3 to 4 minutes of run time.
Contacted the US distributor about a warranty claim, distributor took 7 days to respond.
The distributor suggested tightening the thermocouple “B” nut on the back side of main control valve.
The nut was tight, I loosened and retighten nut, unit still shuts down after 3 to 4 minutes.
Sent another e-mail to the distributor two weeks ago, so far, not response.
I Do Not Recommend this product !!

Very similar to my previous heater bought at Home Depot (which was sold out). Product arrived and I followed the instructions in setting it up. Became SUPER frustrated when assembly instructions called for “secure regulator holder pre-assembled on the post with burner assemble (G) to the heater housing (H) with the M5 x12 screw (GG), small washer (HH) and M5 nut (II)” (GG), (HH) and (II) WERE NOT IN the prepackaged sealed box of hardware. I looked and looked and had a hard time figuring out what the hell they were talking about until I opened up my old heater (different manufacturer – but almost identical (Chinese knock off???). I tried to canabalize the part in question from the old heater, but it wasn’t a fit. As a result I simply ignored it since I was hooking the regulator up to a 3 gallon LP tank. It worked fine without securing it. Overall the unit is not as well constructed as my previous unit. The heat produced is fair but not phenomenal. Hard time believing it puts out 11,000 BTU. Also, old heater came with cover. This one does not. I would have gladly paid more for a heater that produces great heat. Oh well, guess you get what you pay for. Overall Fair but not great. BTW….Customer Service for the manufacturer Hiland sucks…called MLK day to complain about missing part and went to voice mail…which didn’t allow me to leave a message BECAUSE IT WAS FULL….what does that tell you?!?

After 1 year of usage, it stop functioning. I had several similar heathers to this one that also died after 1-2 year of use. i purchased a filter since they suggested it might help to avoid cluthing the system ( not sur hoe to say this in English). I can light the lighter but when I turn the boton to light the heater, it shuts down. Overall, was very good while functioning but unfortunately these heaters never last. If you are lucky 1- 3 years. This one came short. I like these heaters but do not expect them to last….event with a filter. I will probably purchase another one (my forth). In Quebec we hare a provincial warranty and I will probably take legal action agains them.

We decided to get this heater due to the price. We live by the beach in calif and the salt air plays havick on every thing. Putting the heater together took 10 minutes. ( very simple ) We ordered the hose adoptor for a 20 gallon tank ( also very easy to install ) Start up was easy. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Once we had it started we ley it burn in fo 30 minutes the shut it down. If you are getting thid heater to heat you patio, think twice, Its a table top heater. It works perfect for that reason. Ours puts out heat out to 7 feet. Our table is 6 foot round and keeps the table at 78 degrese when its 65 degrese outside.

When I was considering buying this heater I noticed the reviews largely fell into very good or very bad. The very bd ones were mostly people who couldn’t get it to work and this is because it IS tricky to get it to work if, as I was, you are not experienced at working with devices powered by propane cannisters. However, once you get the hang of it, it works very well. I gave it fewer stars on “easy to assemble” because that was the closest summary statistic for ease of getting it to work. Assembly of the heater itself is trivial. To get it to work, you need to connect a 1lb propane cannister. First, for complete newbies, the cannisters ship with a black screwed on cap. Take that off and take off the small black cover on the tip of the heater’s connector and you will see that the cannister easily screws onto the connector. Second, perhaps the best advice of all the reviews I read said to light it for the first time IN THE DARK. In daylight it is hard to tell whether the pilot light is lit, making for a very frustrating experience. So wait until dusk to try it. Then, watch the manufacturer’s video here on the amazon page and do Exactly what they say. In particular, hold the knob in and 90 degrees to the left for a FULL MINUTE before pushing the starter button and keep it there while pushing the starter button and then for about 15-20 seconds AFTER the pilot lights. Especially the first time, you may need to push the button 15 times before the pilot lights. Make sure you push the button (each time) to the point where it clicks – you have to push it fairly hard. Resist the temptation to let go of the knob when you see the pilot flame. Hold it for another 15-20 seconds to let things heat up. Then release the knob, push in again and turn to catch the whole circle and adjust the level of heat. Once you have done this a few times, you get the hang of it and the pilot often ignites on a couple of pushes of the red button. It is nice and stable with a heavy bottom and puts out a good amount of heat. The one lb cannisters last about two hours. You can use a hose attachment to a 20 lb of propane tank, but I have not done that yet. Enjoy!

Please understand it heat up to 2 f and not more , it’s perfect if you are sitting around a table and this is on the table or a coffee table ! It runs out of the gas tank approximately after 2 hour . I already knew this info by reading other reviews 🙂

Works great. This table top patio heater was easy to put together and the pilot light ignites on the first or second click of the igniter every time.
Most reviewers that have given this heater low grades is because it does not put out enough heat. A person has to understand that this heater is only 11,000 BTUs, so you must be fairly close to it to stay warm. I for one, placed it on a small table between two patio chairs about 24″ from each chair. It keeps us warm at outside temps down to the low 50’s when there is no wind. Any colder than that, or if it’s windy, I have no desire to sit outside anyway.
I also run the heater off a 20 lb tank and a adapter hose. The 1 lb bottles would last less than 2 hours on high. The only complaint I have is that there is no cutout in the base for the adapter hose as the pictures show. But it looks great and performs well.
