Happy with this laptop thus far. Prompt shipping and good value.

I think a better job with the start button and caps button could be improved upon.
Example: place the start button far from the delete button.

For the price – $1,000 – it is a great laptop. I needed something fast, with a large monitor. Impressed with this machine. It works well for what I use – Adobe Creative Suite – software that uses a lot of RAM. I was skeptical about the keyboard not being lit, and feels a little cheap, but I can live with that. It runs FAST, and saves me time. I like HP products. I love my HP Elitebook – but I couldn’t find one with a larger monitor.

The HP Pavilion 17.3″ FHD IPS Laptop appears to be a very nice machine (only had it for a couple of weeks). It is very fast. The 17 inch screen is beautiful. The only “fault” is the touchpad which comes way too sensitive. Worked with HP and got it to be better. By the way HP support was outstanding. Be careful to check the “System” page to see if you are in S mode. The ad said it shipped in S mode but after a couple of hours and working with HP we found that it was not shipped in S mode. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

Bought the computer only to find it DOES NOT have backlit keyboard. Almost returned it . Decided to tough
it out and am glad I did. Typical Hp computer — good product and works great. Hp support is only marginal; but the product continues to impress (have had only Hp laptops for many years). Found an outstanding laptop light (https://www.amazon.com/Monitor-OOWOLF-Blue-Ray-Portable-Business/dp/B07THCST78/ref=sr_1_5?qid=1678103031&sr=8-5&srs=19262744011) which is, I believe, superior to having a backlit kb so I am totally pleased.

I appreciated this laptop because it was easy to use and set up. I’m a little tech challenged and was grateful I just had to answer a few questions and I was set. I love HP products. I’ve tried other brands throughout the years and I always go back to HP. This laptop has more to offer me then I could possibly use but I love the idea that I have options to explore.

This laptop has everything I needed since my previous one had Windows 11 issues. I like the larger screen. Easily hooked up a Bluetooth mouse, Epson 500 scanner and HP printer.
I am confused by the ports as I try to figure out which docking station to purchase for chord management. Do we have 2 superspeed USB A’s that are the equivalent to USB 3.0? That’s what it appears to me. This makes a big difference as I research docking stations. I admit, I know enough to be dangerous but so far am enjoying the speed of this computer.
Also, what is the outlet next to the power hole? Just a USB A 2.01? Shape is oblong and it has the SS Superspeed symbol, too.
Thanks for any help you can give this non techno person.
