UPDATE: Worked for 10 months, then quit pumping the water from the reservoir to make the ice. Have contacted the manufacturer for a warranty claim but so far they are not honoring the warranty because I’m unable to find a serial number anywhere, and they have yet to tell me where it’s located. Will update my review if/when the issue is resolved.
We use this in our master bedroom suite to have ice handy without having to walk down to the kitchen. It works great and is not so overly loud that it interferes with sleeping as long as we keep the water reservoir filled (otherwise it is a little annoying to hear it trying to pump water that isn’t there).

I looked at several countertop ice makers for several months before finally deciding on this one. I absolutely LOVE the functionality… the ice is AWESOME. As an ice eater, I am addicted. Those bullets of ice are a dream! However, this is noisy. Someone with an Opal ice maker told me theirs was noisy as well, so maybe it’s all countertop ice makers, but if noise is going to bother you, you probably don’t want one. I have learned to live with it, but I’m not sure I’m used to it, even after a few months. I do think there is room for these products in general to improve in the future, but for what we have now, I am a fan overall!

Only complaint I have is the amount of ice it makes. It’d be good for 1 or maybe 2 people. But can’t keep up if there’s any more.

I was going to give it 5 stars but it doesn’t grip the top of my mini fridge and it doesn’t let me know when it’s done cleaning (other than flashing). Those are minor details so it’s all good. Love the ice.

Don’t ask why but I bought enough countertop icemakers after the holidays to start my own review channel. But I won’t because I’ve got a face for texting. The Igloo maker here is not terrible. It is made well and will make ice and that’s what you need. But I believe the competition is better. The Frigidaire models that I bought (both the cheapest and most expensive) made larger ice, and it was much dryer during the making process. The Igloo unit was dripping coming out of the basket. And it turned the ice bin in the freezer into one giant clump. All ice will stick together a bit but the Igloo ice was like leaving it on the counter for half an hour. It’s just a bit subpar, but does the job if you need.

I bought a used good condition ice maker for a discountes price. I wasn’t happy to open the ice maker and find it moldy on the inside, the cord was dirty and it had several patches of what seemed like wax glued to the side. Not what I consider “good condition”. After putting it through rigorous cleaning inside and out, I tested the ice making. It’s a bit louder than the one my friend has. The color is also deceiving in the photos. It’s a bright aqua color. But other than that, it’s easy to use, produces ice quickly. I’m worried there is mold inside where I cannot reach, so I will be returning this one and buying the brand my friend has.

I love my ice maker. Bought 9 months ago with no issues. Used the “clean” option, went through the directions to clean it and when I was done, not the red light “ice full” stays on and won’t make ice. So disappointed. I sent in an email but says very busy and could take 2 weeks to response. I use my ice maker daily.
