I’ve jumped rope for exercise for years. I’ve used may different kinds of ropes but most all of them have been “speed” ropes. Thin and light weight. This rope is beefy. It takes jumping rope to the next level. The weighted handles and thicker, heavier rope increases the difficulty substantially. Which, for me, is a good thing. When I’m working out I’m not looking for the easiest thing to do, the whole idea is it should be hard! Anyway, the handles are very ergonomic, and the bearings inside are very smooth. This rope will fly if you’re strong enough to push it. The rope itself is a little stretchy, it could be a little more static. You can kinda feel the stretch when you’re jumping fast. Doesn’t seem to impede performance at all but I can feel it stretch. I haven’t used it for long, but the quality seems to be as good as any rope I’ve ever used in the past and I expect it to last for quite a while. Adjusting the rope to your desired length is very easy and straightforward. No tools required, just a decent knife or pair or scissors is all it takes. I was actually looking for a speed rope when I got this one, thought I’d give a weighted rope a try and I’m glad I did. Neither of the ropes supplied comes close to 1lb. Waste of my time ordering something that was falsely described as a weighted rope when, in fact, it’s a rope with weighted handles. Both of these ropes are 1/2 lb ropes. Bogus.

I just got back into jump rope. This rope works fine. I wish the rope was a little heavier as it tends to twist after a while causing you to get tangled up. More weight may make it stay straighter. Otherwise, it works well!
