The sand has a nice tint ro it, really seems like what it it is advertised as. Bearded Dragon seems to really like it. It did not have a funky odor that some sand seems to have. Also since it’s natural, it did not discolor his claws like the last couple did. This is our new sand and we will be order it every month. Also, his urine odor seems to be muted with this sand. We really like it. And the price isn’t bad, could be a couple dollars better, but I’ll watch for sales for sure. They still have my business even if not. One bag covers the bottom of our habitat 30 x 18.

This is Australian desert sand and that’s where bearded dragons are from in the wild, so many people out other’s down from not using the correct substrate, my 5 month old lives digging in it she doesn’t eat it it’s not dusty and she doesn’t get impacted some people use carpet and newspaper but this is what they live on in the wild! I haven’t seen too many deserts with newspaper or anything else! Definitely recommend

This substrate is a perfect choice for a bearded dragon habitat. We use it in 1/2 of ours enclosure to give her room to dig, explore, and mainly go potty….It is super easy to clean though with a small scoop similar to one for a litter box. It has performed beyond my expectations, has a great natural color and our dragon seems to find it a comfort to dig in.

In comparison this product was exactly what it described! My bearded loves it! Great texture and traction and I have a handi capable adopted bearded. Great quality and clean up, no odor or mess. Great to mimick natural environment. Highly recommend over the fiber sanded products out there.

I used this to make my bearded dragon tanks more of a natural habitat. They love it they dig in it I added clay and desert sand they love it.
The only thing I did not like is it took nearly two weeks to ship.

This substrate is great, she really likes it as well. She digs in it and it’s easy to scoop her poop. We have a 40 gallon terrarium and it takes 30lbs of this sand to adequately cover. Honestly, I’d like to get another 10lbs because I like it to be deeper. It’s pricey and that’s my only con.

there’s a lot of mixed information online about substrate. I’ve confirmed with my vet that this type of loose substrate is good for their habitats. this version in particular is great because it’s so reminiscent of their natural environment. not necessarily even a complaint, just know that it does make the glass a lot cloudier than alternatives like walnut shell substrate.
