Fun stuff. Might want to make sure all your slides are locked down. I had my 1st and 3rd taken care of, but after I was done I noticed the 2nd and main tuning slide had pushed out as well. Might get your valve stem washers a little wet on the underside, and you have to make sure to get all the water out when you’re done. Overall it’s a pretty cool shortcut for cleaning, but might not completely replace scrubbing in cases of heavy buildup. (Also came with a fitting for a hose, which I’ll never use, and a cloth which is a little more coarse than I’d like for use on a trumpet finish).

Before it arrived it dawned on me how silly it was! Because of the way it is threaded it is useless without investing in a hose coupler that has two receiving (female) ends. Waiting for a 6 foot hose with those properties, then will see how well it works…

Excellent product ! It’s a very good tool to clean the horn fast and not make a mess. It’s fast and simple, cleans the horn very very well. It’s very good for a fast deep clean before a gig. Also the cloth that comes with it is excellent

The product works REALLY well. I was not sure how it would work out, but as always I am happy with the product KGU produces. If you have regular stem felts in your valves I would remove those before doing it, but I have foam “felts”/washers so I was good to go. I suggest adding this to your weekly cleaning routine.

I’ve been a trumpet player for 7 years and I keep my instrument in the best condition as possible, meaning I wash it every month. Because I keep it so clean, not much dirt or grime tends to come out of the horn anymore when I wash it, even using a snake brush. But using this incredibly easy device I noticed some grime being washed out of my trumpet. It’s super fast and simple and provides a great clean of the entire trumpet without any disassembling! I’m honestly shocked no one has thought of this before. Great device!

This is the best way to clean your horn. Do not put your horn in a bath tub with dish washing soap. It gets in the key shaft and corrosion sets in. Flush your horn with this and a hose and wipe the outside.
