Very nice, sturdy stand that I use for my bass bone. I would give it 5 stars but it has a flaw which some will consider minor. The knobs are small which make it a little difficult to tighten sufficiently if you have arthritis in your fingers.

I bought this stand recently and have used it a few times since. I love how sturdy it is. I fell that my trombone is safe. I have some near falls on other stands. It is super easy to set up and collapses compactly. I am extremely pleased with it.

This is my third K&M trombone stand and I won’t buy any other brand. I started with K&M stands 30 years ago with their classic chrome model that I still use today. It has held up so well I would never have needed to buy two of the 14990s had I not bought two more trombones. These stands are strong and stable, yet fairly light. When folded down, they fit completely inside the side pocket of ProTec cases. All you have to do is take it out of the box to know it is a very high quality product. Everything about it screams “QUALITY.” It costs a little bit more than other trombone stands, but go ahead and spend the money on this one because you’ll still be using it in 30 years.

I am using this stand for all my trombone work. It’s sturdy enough to support both my symphony tenor and my bass trombone. It’s very stable. The horns won’t be damaged or fall over using this stand.

I hated to spend this much for a trombone stand, but thought I’d get a cheaper second one. Well, after having one of these for a week, I bought a second and considered it money well spend.

First of all, it’s short enough for the pouch on the side of my case. Secondly, it’s sturdy. Thirdly, it’s extremely adjustable in terms of height and width of the feet, as well as how far down the “plunger” sits on the stand. Put a sock over it, and it’s perfect – smooth, soft, and quiet, and (because of the feet adjustability) you can literally fit it on any stage or area.

One of the most robust trombone stands in this price range. Good sturdy base helps stabilise what is a precarious item to balance owing to high centre of gravity.
Solid materials and can take being knocked around in the boot and mute bag. My tip is to use an old woollen glove over the stand part to soften the part that goes in the bell.
So good I have three of these for my trombones in my music room.

Trombone stands are always a compromise between stability and portability. For a small stand that’s easy to travel with, the Aida is the champ. The good-old Hamilton is affordable and does splits the difference between stability and ease of travel. This K&M is something of a tank. It has a broad footprint that really inspires confidence when walking away with your horn parked on it. The Aida, much less. I recently acquired a rare bass trombone that I want to protect at all costs. This K&M does the job. With the adjustable bell support, you can dial it in to the precise fit of your instrument. It’s rock solid. The big footprint would be an issue on many stages, but I’m generally hired for tenor jobs. If I had to take my bass out and about, I’d probably bring the K&M, but have a Hamilton in the car just in case there wasn’t quite room. If you just need a rock-solid stand for your practice room, and not necessarily something to travel with, you can’t beat this thing.

I switched to bass trombone a couple of years ago, and my old tenorstand is just not sturdy enough for the heavier instrument. The K&M is much sturdier and works very well for a bass. The shaft also stays put when you lock it in place.

Works great with my 10.5” bass trombone. Very stable. Finally replaced my failing 30 year old Hamilton.
