Bought for my daughter to pretend play around with. Before getting this for her, I gave her a spare rifle scope to used as a telescope during playtime. Figure she needed something lighter and less hard metal, so I bought this for her.
The exterior housing looks sleek and feels well-made, but the optics leave a lot to be desired. The $15 plastic folding binoculars my great uncle got me as a kid many years ago had a much better sight picture than this. Sight picture through the lense has a noticeable greenish tint and is slightly blurry even when adjusted for best focus. Great as a novelty toy for younger kids that don’t know any better, but won’t recommend it for anything serious like birdwatching or hiking.

Things built for children need to be built more durable. These are not. They broke on the second outing and it was not from abuse.

I purchased 2 pairs of these binoculars for our 3 and 5 year old grandsons. As soon as they saw them, they didn’t stop playing with them for the 3 days they were with us. They carried them around, slept with them (straps off), and were constantly looking out the window at anything and everything. Reasons I chose these were: 1) The size was perfect for small hands; 2) I could get them in their favorite colors; 3) they seemed like a good value; and 4) they looked pretty indestructible, and sounded like it from reviews. I think for the ages of these boys these were the perfect choice. They were clearly very happy with the product, and as much as being a functional toy, these also inspired imagination and play.

These are good , but a toy ..one can see out of them and we used it for local hikes and forest school …..but do not expect a high quality product comparavle to adult binoculars ( which it doesn’t claim to be )
If you have a child interested in nature and binoculars do not hesitate to buy
