I like how light and minimalist this inflator is – it really takes up little space other than the canister. They were thoughtful enough to supply an anti-freeze sleeve for the canister which is nice – it also prevents a bit of rattle in the back pocket or seat bag.
However, the head itself is all metal and get super cold within a fraction of a second. So me pressing it onto the valve results in my fingers freezing onto the head, ending in pain and suffering. This would be remedied by packing some insulation around the head which I intend to do to make it usable.
Apart from that it worked just fine and inflated my tube quickly. Getting it off the valve (having frozen on in the damp conditions) was another story.

I’ll start by saying that every Lezyne pump product I’ve had has failed within the first year because of poor sealing (Road Drive / Floor Drive / and this Speed Drive).
The Speed Drive failed on the first use, 90 miles from home and 20 miles from my destination. I had the same issue as the other reviewer: when I backed the C02 cartridges out to fill the tire the C02 sprayed out of the back of the inflator and all over my hands. Three cartridges were disposed trying to get it to work, even wrapping a bit of teflon tape (from my valve adaptors) around the threads had no results.
No more Lezyne nonsense in my life. I advise you to learn from our experiences and Lezyne to reevaluate their products.

I wish for schrader valves it had a pin in it for depressing the valve.
I know this is exactly how presta valves work.
That pin in the schrader valve is there so 100% of the contained pressure goes into the tire and isn’t wasted.
However, all of these little CO2 fillers work the same…no pin.

This co2 inflator failed on the very first co2 I put in it. I was really surprised because I paid a little more to have a branded “Lezyne” machined inflator instead of some other one. I was so surprised how bad it leaked that I thought “no way”. So I threw another co2 on there and same thing. I am 100% sure it was defective because I have another one of these that works perfectly fine and seals perfect. Thus, why I came back to get a 2nd one for my mtb. Kind of was in for a shock when I went to return it because amazon was like “this item isn’t returnable”, but I found out why. It’s because of the co2. The rep. refunded my money and I threw this inflator in the trash.
