Compact, and nice design. Quality is fantastic. Only downside is battery life is short, 1.5 hrs before you need to plug it in.

You know the saying you get what you pay for…well this is a great example. I went through 3 other projectors from $100-360 and they all exclaimed brightness and clarity. That was not the case finally bit the bullet and dropped some more cash and it was worth it! Great portability and the ability to connect to a external Bluetooth speaker make this a winner in my book. Did I mention this has amazing video quality!? It does. Almost compares to my $1,500 Sony projector that is 4x as big. Needed portability because I like to travel and going to other peoples houses that have tiny crappy TVs was getting to me.

Photos above where from when I first set it up. Which was easy! Great menu system as well.

One Con is the remote. Too many buttons and not back lit. Hard to find the button you want unless you look at it. Maybe over time my fingers will remember. Not a deal breaker.

Buy it! Hope you found this review helpful!

This is the best LED projector I was able to find on the market right now, and the only one that displays 1080p. Being LED, it turns on and off much quicker than most other projectors and is quieter than others in this price range. Overall, it is a solid, high quality product that is a joy to use for gaming and movies. I use mine for a 120 inch screen (despite the 100 inch limit) on an off-white wall and it still looks great.
    Pros:
    Full 1080p resolution
Very low input lag for gaming
Auto vertical keystone with no blur
Good brightness for a dark room
    Very small and portable
    Responsive remote
Quick to turn on and off
Low fan noise (on medium energy saving mode)
    Low heat produced

    Con:
No zoom feature (if you are mounting it, find out where it needs to go before screwing the mount in place)
Wireless display has heavy delay (better to just use an HDMI for movies)

    Other features:
It can play movies and photos directly from a USB stick.
It does have built in smart features, but since I have an Amazon Fire TV Stick and a Nintendo Switch, I haven’t used them so I can’t comment on those.

Good small size, decent battery life, picture quality is excellent, lumens isnt too bad in a semi dark room and is more than adequate in a dark room (if you have dark walls and ceiling too then the contrast level would be outstanding).

On medium/maximum energy saving mode the projector is super quiet.

The connectivity is great, Bluetooth, WiFi direct/miracst etc, all seem to work quite well.

    Things I didn’t like:

Lack of any kind of optical zoom though I did know this before buying it so haven’t marked it down for that in my rating,

Menu won’t let you change region from US, and there seems to be no good reason for this, which means you can’t set the time zone properly for it (which is a sillyoversight for what is ostensibly a travel projector), this may not be true of non-US bought ones, I don’t know for sure, given that the option is there in the menu but just greyed out so you can’t change it I would guess that other countries’ or an international model might allow you to change that country setting,

Bluetooth audio does sometimes lag ever so slightly / goes out of sync, particularly when watching streaming videos, not as much when watching regular content, but to be honest I find this seems to happen with basically all Bluetooth speakers when watching streaming videos so to some degrees it may just be a limitation of the technology, also some people may not notice this as much anyway just I find I’m quite sensitive to it and it bothers me so I just plug in speakers with headphone jack because it does have a line out option through that same headphone port which is good at least, (it also has an audio resync option in the menu but it’s a rather unwieldy automated affair that doesn’t seem to work all that well, particularly when it comes to Bluetooth audio sync issues because the syncing issue usually isn’t a steady difference,

Minimum energy saving mode provides brightest picture quality but is also accompanied with louder fan noise. Its not an intolerable level of noise, but it’s definitely noticeable and so usually I use the medium setting or if my room is completely dark with dark non reflective walls then maximum is fine too. Even on minimum I would say it still is quieter than most other projectors I have heard though,

The remote has waaaaay to many buttons that you don’t need since everything can be adjusted by the software menu, yet weirdly is missing buttons that would be quite useful to have quick to hand (like changing the energy saving level with a click rather than having to go through the menu).

Remote should be back lit but isn’t :-S

    Sidenotes:

I don’t know what other people here have been complaining about with their issue of the unit going straight to TV when they turn it on instead of to the last used input, when I turn mine on it just goes to whatever I was last viewing, it could possibly be that they’re fully switching off the unit by pressing the button on the top maybe? I don’t know, but basically if you use the remote to power up and down then you won’t have this issue.

    Final thoughts:

There’s room for improvement with this projector, it’s far from perfect… But if you want 1080p quality, with acceptable brightness and contrast when used in a dark space, good connectivity, and you want all that to be portable… Well then I don’t think there are any better options than this out there at the moment.

Very impressed with this projector. I debated getting another big screen tv or going with a projector in family room. Glad I went with this LG projector with an 80 inch screen. Have it ceiling mounted and using bluetooth to my Vizio soundbar system. Was worried about 1080p vs 4k but you can’t tell a difference from 10ft away viewing.
It has nice bright colors and contrast. The black scenes look better than expected. It does help to put in a darker light controlled room. The picture doesn’t get bright enough in a brighter room.
The menu settings are easy to navigate. I am using standard picture mode setting with color temp on warm for movies and tv. Energy saving on medium. The fan is really quiet with that setting. Vivid and sports mode also looks nice with really bold and bright colors if you like the picture brighter. The speaker is very weak sounding but does ok in a pinch. I would use a soundbar. I haven’t noticed any audio sync issues with bluetooth.
For the price with having an led bulb with wifi and bluetooth it’s a great deal. I like that it’s portable in case I decide to take it outside.
If you want to go big and not spend a ton of money for a large tv this is the way to go.

The projector worked very well for about 5 months. Our usage was pretty moderate to low – around 5 hours a week max. But by the start of the 6th month, we started seeing some dead pixels and now we have full lines as shown in the attached image.

@seller, can you please suggest how I can get this issue resolved?

Amazon has lumped all the LG projectors of different models into one, which is a big mess. I hope they clear this up.

I have bought 3 different LG projectors from Amazon this is the review of the :
LG CineBeam PU700R 4K Smart Projector

Overall the projector works fine. However there is no digital zoom or lens shift ability to fix things.
The only option is to move the projector distance to set it up.

If you want larger screen size than move the projector back, smaller screen size, move the projector to the front.
Ceiling mount is not an option.

This is not ideal for most people. There is no Ethernet port and only 1 HDMI port.
The auto keystone function works to a point but you may need to manually adjust it for a perfect picture.

The 4K image is achieved by shifting a native 1,920 x 1,080 to deliver the displayed 4K image.

I was able to setup the projector after some trial and error, but I am pleased with the overall picture quality.

It’s a bright projector with a very nice picture quality. If you can get past the setup hurdle, than this projector would work for you.
