I like it.

Go ahead & spend more money on a well known brand. These reeds have irregularities & aren’t good.
JMA –
These look a bit cheap, to be honest, and I am unsure about the darker colour spots/stripes and whether it means they might have some moisture already present from factory. If so, it could mean mold/mildew. Or it could be natural to the cane. Without a microscope, I have no way to tell.
I’m not an expert (got these for my nephew who has recently started playing sax, after a couple years of clarinet) but the internet seems divided on how to interpret “discolouration” on reeds. It seems the fight against moisture and mildew is ongoing for musicians playing reed instruments.
I will give these to him to, to keep in his case as spares/backups, and let you know if he reports any problems or issues. They don’t appear to be top quality, so I suspect they will work best as backups while better quality reeds (more $) would still be the ideal.

I can tell that these reeds suck. I have not purchased these yet but the first image is of a clarinet mouthpiece. I have been playing saxophone for 5 years, lead player just looking for cheap reeds for fun and stumbled upon these. For those of you who are beginners, I would recommend 2 things. Start off with at size 2.5 reed. That is the best. If it is too hard to get a sound switch to a size two. I would like to say that if you want a good experience with a saxophone, but higher-end reeds. I buy Vandoren reeds. Those are great for any level and expand and experiment once you get better. Instruments are not cheap and the more expensive (most of the time) the better quality. These people are cheap and have most likely not even tried playing on these reeds themselves. Stay happy and don’t but these.

Lifted to granddaughter. She stated she had to throw away because they had black mold. This was on ones never used. Unfortunately she didn’t tell me or take a picture.
