It does the job, but the base is made of plastic and feels a bit flimsy. It’s hard to make it tight enough for it to feel solid and able to hold a bit of weight.

My electric keyboard sites too close to the wall to use the music rack that came with the keyboard as it hit the wall. I was lost as to how to display my music until I found this wall mounted music rack. Love it, thanks, Peter

The music rest does what it’s supposed to do but it is very very flimsy. For the money you would expect far better quality. The back plates is made of cheap plastic so whe I mounted it to the wall I mounted to a piece of wood then mounted the plastic back plate to that it’s far stronger that way. Word of warning get everything at the right height before attaching it to the wall. Also have something covering your equipment before tightening the clamps as the stand will move around

Wall mount music stand works better than hoped for small room keyboard setup. It’s awesome. Can quickly detach when not needed. can adjust angle and height if just playing lower large keyboard, or higher when using upper keyboard I have stacked on top.
Did need to adjust the orientation of the brackets at bit, and tighten the joints. Once all set is great for lightweight sheet music or large music books. Love it!

Je n’avais pas envie qu’il décore un mur donc je l’ai fixé dans un placard et il remplit parfaitement son office. Cependant, comme il était trop large pour la porte de placard, je l’ai disqué de 3 cm de chaque coté. Ce qui donne un pupitre de placard, discret, invisible et extra-solide.
Si ça vous prend également, sachez que c’est possible.

I purchased this solely to use at home in my little “studio” room. I have two keyboards I use, as well as a ton of sound modules, and I needed a music stand for when I wanted to just play keyboard instead of messing around with my own stuff. I previously tried to use a music stand attached to a mic stand, which did not work well at all.
The Manhasset 5601 wall music stand was perfect for me! It was very easy to install onto the wall, despite the terrible directions included with the stand. The music stand, while being seemingly quite flimsy, actually holds up very well on the wall with me being able to put my “The International Library of Music” hardback books (1934 edition) on the stand itself with no problems (one book at a time). You can put several soft cover music books on this stand with no problems as well. The angle of the stand is adjustable. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs a music stand with their stand alone keyboard.

A very sturdy, attractive, utile device with one glaring negative. The four existing holes for wall attachment are wider apart than a normal wall stud. To utilize this heavy duty product (think 1000+ page “Fake Books”), I first installed (covering 3 wall studs) a 1″ x 6″ x 30″ horizontal board as a back support. I then mounted the product to said board with 4 larger than provided screws. I may have drilled out the existing holes in the device, in order to fit the larger screws. The installation looks bad, but I live alone. However, now I wouldn’t be afraid to place a 50 lb. weight on the stand. Not a portable/movable installation.

The neck stem is a different length than previous purchases of this model, so it took some maneuvering to get it to line up with the others. If it had been a single installation by itself – it would have been fine. I worked it out eventually, but had to place the mount lower on the wall.

Wonderful Manhasset quality without losing floor space! I have a keyboard against the wall and the flimsy wire music stand attached to it never held my sheet music upright. This was a perfect solution! It was very easy to install, it’s very secure, and the height is adjustable. I just swing it up and I can also use it to practice vocals while standing. Very pleased.

Make sure you’re up to date with your tetanus shot before unboxing. Both sides of the extender are rusty and jagged. I only scraped myself and feel lucky. I don’t think rusty, jagged edges are acceptable for any price, but particularly not for as expensive as this product is.
Two stars only because the wall stand was easy to install and seems like it will work well.
