I was disappointed by the sound. I have much cheaper guitar that is not as well made but has a better sound.
Gabriel –
It’s a good guitar, the sound is ok and the feeling is good. But it’s a cheap material guitar. If I could I would rather went with other brand. This model is very different from what you could expect from a Martin guitar.

Definitely recommend. I love it !! Great quality and a beautiful instrument. The case (bag) was of a much higher quality than I had anticipated. Every part of the instrument is of first quality. An all-round positive decision to purchase.

This is a solid made in Mexico (not China) guitar. I was looking for an indestructible acoustic guitar to play shows with and bring to jams, and almost bought a carbon fiber guitar, before I found this instrument at 1/2 the cost. I plan on dialing my sound and closing the sound hole with the plug, and then controlling everything else with my guitar processor.
Pros: traditional look, nice padded gig bag, pressed wood is not susceptible to climate change, good built-in preamp. I like the fact that it is made out of pressed wood, and the fingerboard is made out of a synthetic material. It sounds very nice compared to other more expensive guitars, despite the fact that it’s not made out of proper “tonewood”.
Cons (sort-of): the guitar and the neck are heavier than what traditional acoustics are, due to the material choice. I don’t mind the weight as I am an electric guitar player. The preamp does not have a tuner, like many guitars do; the preamp controls are inside the sound hole (not the best place if you use a hole plug), and appear to be on the flimsy side. The truss rod needed to be tightened a few turns before the neck was nice and comfortable. Make sure you have a 5mm truss rod hex key handy, as the guitar did not come with one. There’s some sawdust rattling inside, probably when the end pin hole was drilled. The fact that it’s made out of weather-resistant material means that it does not have the best natural acoustic properties. I do not mind, since like many I’ll be plugging this guitar in when playing shows.

This one will last a long time and sounds terrific

Considering the hpl construction, this guitar sounds fantastic! I play in a country/southern rock band so I needed something durable that also plays and sounds good. This guitar surprised me. For a Martin at this price, I really have no complaints. What’s really crazy to me is the electronics. I put this thing through my distortion gauntlet starting with a compressor/OD, a Boss SD-1 and even an Abassi Concepts Pathos distortion and it was very manageable. No major feedback!!! That’s a first for me and I’ve owned more acoustic electric guitars than I care to admit lol. So, if you’re looking for a durable, great sounding acoustic electric for a very reasonable price considering the name it bares on the headstock, you really can’t go wrong with this wonderful instrument. I hope this helps guys and girls.
