I ordered this to replace a Milwaukee driver that I gave to an employee. When I went to Home Depot or Lowe’s, they wanted $100 more for the driver only which made my purchase from Amazon a no-brainer. I received it very quickly and it was brand new in the box and I’ve already used it and I’m very happy and satisfied with my purchase. I am also happy that I saved myself $100.

Keep on mind this is a older model so don’t compare it to the newer models specially to the brushless or fuel version

I’m a professional gas and diesel mechanic and I use this impact every day. So much so that using hand tools is starting to feel like an inconvenience. It had enough power to break loose most fasteners, even larger brake and suspension related stuff but It is easy to modulate, just like using a ratchet, once you get a feel for it, it’s easy to put consistent torque on a fastener.I use this tool on everything from tiny valve cover bolts to the occasional 1-ton bake caliper bracket bolts. The Milwaukee, i’m sure is not alone in having some goodies which like handy pocket clip and the led light (which is more than bring enough to see what you’re doing)
To be fair i have a substantial investment the Milwaukee 18v line. my work tools are all Milwaukee 18v as are my tools at home. That said i have run this impact (beyond what is probably prudent) until the metallic front cover is too hot to leave your hand on and it just keeps working. In my book this beast is worthy of the Milwaukee name.
UPDATE: tragically the little impact stopped working recently, it started by having to wiggle the battery to get it to start working. It got harder and harder to wiggle just right until eventually it stopped working at all. So today I sent it off to Milwaukee and I’ll update my review on what happens. I don’t fault Milwaukee for this all electronics have a certain failure rate and this is far from a pattern with these guys so I’m pretty optimistic UPDATE: Milwaukee promptly returned my tool fully restored, even wear items! it was the switch that popped and as suspected is not really their fault as i imagine that is outsourced. No complaints at all.

I have had this drill for about 4 months. I work in HVAC New Construction and it’s been awesome to use everyday. I’ve dropped it from a 6 foot ladder a couple times and it was fine. Totally worth the money I love this drill!! No complaints
