What did I receive?
A gallon bottle. How would I describe the bottle? It’s a gallon jug, like that used for vinegar, with a narrow spout, but this ain’t vinegar, although it is botanical based. The jug had a foil seal, however, the oversized package this was received in was soaked. I am still looking for how this leaked at the time of this review. Interestingly, enough, I had placed the soiled packaging in the garage. I could smell a chemical like odor, later. I made sure to toss the package, rather than recycle.
How many ounces does this bottle contain?
128 fluid ounces – a gallon.

Disinfecting cleaner.
Is this for commercial settings or home use?
From what I can see, it is also for commercial use; however, I use it for personal, family, and household type use. Is this effective to clean and disinfect? For sure to disinfect. If an area to clean and disinfect is visibly dirty, I pre-clean. Okay, so what happens after precleaning? I spray this and then allow this to remain visibly wet. There are instances that do not require me to return and wipe dry. Why? Allowing this to dry enables this product to disinfect that area. How about if I just want to do a quick job, to sanitize? Same process and wiping are optional. How so? So clean visibly soiled areas, spray on and either allow this to air dry or wipe, to sanitize.
Efficacy?
Myco represents that [when used as directed this is touted as being able to kill 99.9% of institutional and household bacteria. There is representation also surrounding certain viruses, including SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19.
What kind of surfaces do I use this on?
Nonporous surfaces.
So, will this cut built-up nastiness from dirt, cooking, etc.? I used another cleaner for that. My use was in follow-up, in hopes to sanitize and deodorize and then, if need be, to allow this to sit longer to disinfect.
Sanitizing? Disinfecting? What’s the difference?
Sanitizing kills bacteria on surfaces, but not viruses.
Disinfecting kills viruses and bacteria on surfaces.
This will do both. I clean visible gunk first, then sanitize or disinfect that surface; and that’s how I used this.
What’s the shelf-life of this?
Myco advertises (24) months. Was there a date on this as to when it was made? I could not find one, at the time of this review.
So, why is this special.
It is supposed to kill bacteria and certain viruses. And? This is said to have a level IV safety rating. What does that mean? It is the safest possible rating for this kind of product. Does this have the EPA’s Safer Choice and Design for the Environment certified ingredients? I did not find such on this.
Do I wear PPE?
Yes. I wear disposable rubber or latex gloves, gowns, face masks and eye coverings when performing manual cleaning, just to be on the safe side.
What’s in there?
It’s made from plant-based cleaning products.
So how does this smell?
Real or imagined, this has a slight chemical odor, that other cannot detect, but I think I do.
This could be used on food surfaces. I do not. It’s just my personal preference.
Is this a name brand?
No. This is brand is not a household name for me.

The bottle weighed in at (2) pounds and (4) ounces.

First off, describing this as an All-Purpose cleaning product is a little misleading: the bottle itself specifically states that surfaces need to be pre-cleaned and free from debris before using this product.
This is a “final” step in cleaning, to sanitize your hard surfaces and help prevent mold.
It’s an important step, so the product itself is very useful; it’s just not a complete solution for cleaning AND sanitizing (based on the bottle warnings).
But I’m still a little frustrated that the product listing (at time of order and at time of review) does not make this clearer. Loses a star for this.
For our use case, I’m specifically looking at our en-suite that is small and poorly ventilated. Hot showers create a very humid environment that takes a while to clear out. Over the past 6 years, it finally got to a point where I spotted some little dots of mold high up on the walls. Cleaning involved stepping on the tub, leaning, stretching, and a generally bad time due to a shoulder injury.
We also have to replace our inner plastic shower curtain annually. Bleach / Clorox spray helps a lot but a) stinks and b) is harsh yet doesn’t seem to work 100%.
With this product, it’s a wipe / spray on solution and you let it air dry. This allows for much easier application moving forwards (my shoulder is happy about that).
I’m using it on the walls and the shower curtain. We’ve got clean walls and a new shower curtain, so this is a fresh start.
Speaking of fresh, the Thymol (thyme oil) scent is pretty good, certainly better than any of the chemical cleaners I’ve used.
No PPE required! I still wear an N95 mask or similar during application since ventilation is really poor in that restroom and, safe or not, I don’t want to breathe in misted oils. But elsewhere in the house I’m not concerned.
I’ll update if / when we see any signs of mold on either.
But for now, happy to have this product and be using it to keep our home clean and safe.

Read the description very carefully before purchasing. It is not a household cleaner per se, but more of a disinfectant or sanitizing solution. So you should clean first, and then use something like this. At least, this is what I understand.

Please note – this is not a cleaner! Not sure why they include that word in the name of the product as it definitely does not clean. It’s a disinfectant and that’s all it is. That’s not a negative, it just cannot be advertised as a cleaner. For that alone I take off one star.
Beyond that, its a little hard to know how effective it is as a disinfectant unless you have tools to measure level of infection. I appreciate that it is all plant based, so even if it does not work as advertised at least it shouldn’t be harmful either. I personally do not care for the smell. It’s a little too chemical for me.
You do get a lot of the product for a good price. So it should last you a while. I did not have any issues with the product leaking as others have described. It was sealed and packaged well.
