Great drip coffee maker, but not for espresso lovers –
So I’m a coffee snob. Love the ease of the Nespresso machine with out all the fuss, but I also love a good cup of coffee but don’t like that all my machines take up the whole counter. I did by a generic arochino for milk frothing but I honestly received a better whip with the attached frothing gadget. So the securo may go back. And honestly, I prefer the aerochino over it if I’m buying one. Another review! But the coffee and nespresso that I have made both have a much better flavor with this ninja! I guess getting the heat to a perfect consistency is the key in making a good cup of Joe! This is a keeper! Also purchased the capsule drawer from Amazon a while back. I’m extremely pleased that it fit!

Have had it now for several months and we could not love it more. Makes great, hot coffee and I love the frothed and the ability to do some specialty coffees as well.

We bought the slightly larger 301 system for our home and loved it so much we bought this one for our RV.
It is so easy to use and is compact enough to sit on our ‘beverage island’ in the RV. The water reservoir on the 301 is on the back of the unit, so make it very compact.
And it makes the BEST coffee!!

1. Set it and forget it— “Delay”
Being able to set the coffee maker the night before and have it brew at a specific time the next morning is convenient and it is the level of leisure we all need in our lives.
2. Frother
Better than any hand frother you have ever used. Fast, smooth frothy results that leave you with milk that is silky smooth. You feel like a professional barista.
3. Coffee Brewing Options Galore
a. Size:
Set a large pot for the adults in your home or make a small cup for yourself. On an even better note that showcases the attention to detail in the ingenuity of this, is the added ability to set the size of your cup. Espresso shot — done, coffee cup —- done, travel mug —double done. — you set the size for the coffee you are brewing.
b. Brewing Type
Traditional brewing or use capsules, rich brewing for bold flavors, OVER ICE — you got it!!

The coffee side of the machine is 5 stars. It’s easy to use with multiple settings for regular, rich, over ice and sizes from one up to 12 cups. On top of the features, the coffee side is very easy to use. It loses some points on the espresso side. It’s not a true espresso machine as it only uses Nespresso pods and makes very small portions that turn to water almost immediately after brewing starts. The milk frother doesn’t steam the milk, it just stirs it quickly to make bubbles. The froth disappears as soon as you pour it into your drink, and unless you heat the milk first, it cools your espresso down way too much.
Verdict: if you want a great coffee maker with an option to do an occasional espresso-like drink, this would be great for you. If you want a good espresso machine, look elsewhere.

Overall I was pleased with this machine. Coffee always tasted great. However, the espresso pods would not puncture at the foil end. I had bought Belmio espresso pods. At first use, the machine kept telling me to add water. I finally realized it was because water was not passing through pod sufficiently. Thereafter, I used a pin to puncture multiple holes in the foil. Once I did that, it worked great. That’s just not something I want to do though, every time I make an espresso. They recommend Nepresso brand pods (of course) which seem to work fine based on other reviews, but that shouldn’t be the case. So, I returned mine and ordered a Ninja coffee maker only. I will find an espresso maker separately. I also want to mention, that when I returned my item the price had dropped to $199 from $250 (what I paid). I was only credited $199, which makes sense.

I’ve had this for over a week and have saved so much money making my favourite drinks at home. They literally thought about every single scenario for coffee in making this machine! Brewing is perfect, blender works excellent, and espresso matches the portion. I definitely recommend this machine!

Fell in love with the first cup! Problem within a week or two with the single cup pod system. Called and explained, did a video conference to be able to show them. They sent a replacement, at the door in two or three days! It was doing the same thing, not puncturing pod top. Called them back, another video…
Two days later a whole brand new complete unit at the front door, on top of them being extremely nice, and professional during communications!
Now looking at all the rest of Ninja’s products. We will DEFINITELY be spending some more $$$ with them!
