This starter was purchased as a replacement to the starter in a Scag Tiger Cub (STC-48). The pictures and description appeared to be an exact replacement to the OEM starter which cost more than $250. Based on the price, availability, and warranty, I decided to order it.
The starter arrived the next day, almost 8 hours earlier than promised. The old starter was easy to remove by 1st disconnecting the negative battery connection, then removing the two bolts holding the starter to the engine. After disconnecting the three wires, the starter was removed from the mower. Reassembly was easy by simply reversing the steps.
After reconnecting everything, I turned the key and mower fired right up. Although this is my first use of the mower since replacing the starter, I am very happy so far.
