This thing gets 5 stars for being so sturdy and attractive. If they added an adapter to use smaller sized poles I would really be happy! As you can see I have not yet got it on a pole that fits. The hole is only about an inch or so deep and larger than the piece of galvanized steel conduit I was using. I think if I slide a piece of pvc into the hole it will fit just fine.

Excellent bird feeder and value. We were surprised at how sturdy this feeder is compared to past feeders we have used. Easy to fill with seed and to clean. You will not regret this purchase. Only caution is that the feeder does not come in a separate box and is shipped loose in a large Amazon box so this would make gifting somewhat difficult.

I agree with other reviewers on pros and cons. The main con is the large slots at the bottom where seed spills into tray. Way to large. A blue jay landed hard on it when it was half full and ALL the seed dumped to ground. I followed another reviewers advice and took out the plastic sides, cut the bottoms with a wire cutter about 1/4”, and put them back in. Make sure you push them all the way down. I am now watching several birds eating from it and NO seed is dumping out. It is dispensing the perfect amount of seed now. Otherwise it’s very pretty, sturdy, and my birds love it!!!

A great variety of birds like this feeder. It’s the second one we’ve bought we have a lot of feeders and this is the birds favorite. It holds a lot and is easy to fill. Two things that could be improved—make the lid larger to keep rain out and make the hanger in the straight up position. We had to buy a plastic saucer cover to keep rain out and superglue the hanger in an upright position so it wouldn’t flop over when trying to hang it.

Really pleased with this feeder. Some reviews comment about the plastic inserts coming broken. Mine were fine. Easy to fit the inserts inside. That is what holds the seed. It has a larger capacity and the base is wider than most feeders. That is good for the cardinals because they like to feed on a flat surface. They were at the feeder the first day I put it out. Because the feeder is metal it should last longer. Squirrels have knocked down the plastic ones and they break. This one should be able to withstand that.

Despues de mucho buscar encontramos este comedero, tiene buen precio y parecia bonito.
Al recibirlo nos llevamos una grata sorpresa, es mas grande de lo que parecia en las fotos, buenas calidades, buenas terminaciones y estéticamente preciosa.
La capacidad es de 1,5 kg, eso es mucha comida 😁, pero esperamos que nos visiten muchos pajaros.
El tejado es por donde se intruce la comida, va a rosca y es muy facil de rellenar.
Los cristales son de metacrilato con lo que son muy resistentes.
El resto del comedero es metal con lo que aguanta bien el paso del tiempo, un inconveniente de la madera.
En la base del comedero tiene espacio suficiente para que los pájaros se puedan apoyar a comer. Además, tiene unas pequeñas perforaciones para que si llueve, el agua no se estanque y se estropee la comida.
El tejado ademas de bonito, cumple a la perfección su función ya que tapa toda la zona del comedero, protegiendo la comida de las lluvias.
También en el tejado tiene un gancho resistente para que lo puedas colgar donde quieras.
Consejo:
Los pájaros tardarán un tiempo en acercarse a comer, no es un problema de los comederos, los pájaros son animales que necesitan sentirse seguros, asi que durante un tiempo observarán a distancia y poco a poco se iran acercando a comer. Este proceso puede durar varias semanas, ten paciencia y pronto disfrutarás viendolos comer en su nuevo comedero.

This bird feeder is attractive and well-constructed. It can sit on a platform or can be hung from a shepherd’s hook or a tree. I don’t even bother securing mine to the square base on my feeder and it’s only fallen once, and that was from high winds. It’s easy to unscrew the top, remove the roof, and fill. It stays clean and after a year of the elements, still looks new. I even bought a second one to give as a gift!

Living in South Florida, we get a ton of birds and end up going through bird feeders every couple of years. We purchased this feeder earlier this year, and we’ve been really happy with how it’s been working out. We typically use black oil sunflower seeds, and we find that all the neighborhood birds have taken to this feeder daily. We get tons of dovs, jays and grackles. We’ve had the occasional cardinal and parrot as well as a very curious woodpecker. It’s very easy to clean and refill, and it just looks really nice hanging in the yard.
Through our own fault, we needed to contact customer service…something I really don’t like doing. They went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, and they were super quick and pleasant about everything. This feels like a company that makes you happy to do business with. Overall, this is a great feeder from a great company, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
