For something so simple, it sure does bring my budgie a lot of enjoyment. She loves to climb up onto this and swing side to side (I’m not quite sure she has it figured out yet). And I’ve noticed that when I cover her cage up at night, she immediately hops into this swing to go to sleep.
I think I may buy an extra to hang elsewhere in her cage, so that she has a few favorite spots to go to. The only thing I wish was was different about this swing, is that it wouldn’t just use a plain straight doweling as the perch, as it can be hard on a birds feet in the long run. That being said, if you have a variety of perches in your birds cage, this shouldn’t be a problem.

Small enough to fit in a cage yet the perfect size for a budgie. the screw part on the clasp is easy enough and wasn’t damaged. He swings on it all the time and sleeps on it at night. Caught him swinging on it upside down once. Didn’t know if he would like it before purchasing but clearly they’re naturally inclined to know what to do with a “floating branch.”
