The A4 paper size is not mentioned in the main description, but is noted in the detail below. The problem is that it says that A4 is the maximum paper size. The holes, though, are spaced only for A4. It cannot be adjusted to a US size. Thus, if like me you unwrap it and clean the teeth, you end up with a $200 door stop. The PD-1503 is the model you want in the US.

Let Me Say This: –
I’ve used the machine to bind Letter size grammar workbooks for my kids.
The punching part was easy as pie.
When I tried to bind, it didn’t go well initially, but eventually, I did it.
It takes seconds to bind.
My suggestion to the manufacturer is to add some guard cover over the rubber binding roller to protect fingers.
I’m happy to get a chance to make bound workbooks for my kids.

Solid, well-made machine – right out of the box I was able to coil bind a camera repair manual I had printed off. I found the entire process simple and intuitive and am pleased with the results.
I do have some concerns with the machine – I could not get the rubber “coil feed” wheel to work properly no matter where I held the booklet. I only bound one book which was about 50 pages so had no issues threading the coil by hand, but I would want the automatic coil advance if I were doing more than a couple. My other concern – really more of a recommendation to the manufacturer – would be to mark a center line on the base. It was relatively easy to center the holes on a sheet of paper, but the laminated covers gave me a bit of grief and required adjusting the stop several times.
Overall this is a great tool if you find you need a lot of binding done.

Did a lot of research before I picked the best deal. I can not believe u can’t find one of these without the roller feature. I really only needed the paper punching part. Im not doing lots of books at a time. But, with no real other option, this was the best deal I could find. It is very sturdy. Has options for how wide u would like ur margin. The roller works I guess, but I’m still getting the hang of it, so it requires my assistance quite often to get the spiral going. But compared to taking my pages to a print store and paying them or using a boring 3 ring binder, this thing is pretty cool. Pdfs turn into a real book pretty easily.
