Perfect but if you’re keeping it at home, or else the battery will not make it throughout the day. Even so, and knowing that’s a gaming laptop. It runs perfectly.

I love the QHD display! I feel bad for my TV because I keep watching even simple videos on my laptop lol I didnt like the track pad at first until I changed the settings now it moves efficiently. The speakers weren’t as bad as the reviews were making it. I hate the battery life but I can deal with it. The build quality is amazing! I love the RGB lights as well. Gaming so far is excellent there are options on the configuration you have. I mostly bought this for music production & video editing so I won’t be gaming as much. Fingers crossed it lasts longer!

Amazing laptop for a student studying engineering. I recommend getting the Razer Raptor monitor. The RGB in synapse really makes the color scheme easy. With one wire I connect all my peripherals. Great laptop for anyone that is a power house user. Not for people that aren’t doing professional work, if you’re only only using a laptop for browsers then there way cheaper and better alternatives. I run QuickBooks and autocad on this laptop and it has not been phased. Being able to run a business and keep up with my work load has been amazing. The price tag is a little high but worth it once you boot it up and realize you are entering a higher level of performance. Highly recommend. Can’t wait until they make one with the quadro gpu.

Why did I buy it? I wanted a MacBook with the ability to play video games from time to time. First impression: it’s not a Mac 🙂 (I mean a mobile workstation that just works as you expect).

Just a list of key points (positive and negative mixed together):

    – It’s not that heavy
    – It’s not that noisy (PUBG in 4k with ultra settings produce bearable fan noise compared to my son’s Acer Predator)
    – It’s not full metal 🙁 The part that connects the lid is made of plastic… It’s kind of a moving part… The part that just screams to be made of alloy.
    – The lid is heavy. It can open and close under inertia when you sharply raise or lower the laptop. Put the laptop too abruptly on the bed and that plastic part will crack.
    – Keyboard is just a copy of the MacBook’s keyboard with audio dynamics. I would prefer a full-sized keyboard with Numpad. There is no media button for turning off/on the touchpad… Is it a gaming laptop or what? How to turn off the window button (razer synapse seems not working)? Verdict: it’s not a gaming keyboard and neither a keyboard for professionals.
    – Audio dynamics suck. Audio with headphones is great: can satisfy the audiophile ear.
    – The screen is great: big, juicy colors, 4k.
    – MAIN SURPRISE: 120Hz refresh rate, the thing for what you kind of overpay $1k, is just disabled by default and can be used only with `Dedicated GPU only` mode which is battery consuming.
    – There are 2 GPU modes: Optimus (Balanced Integrated and dedicated GPU, 60Hz only) and `Dedicated GPU only` (60Hz or 120Hz). You can’t switch between modes on the fly, you need to restart the whole system.
    – Battery is week. You paid $5k for a 4k 120Hz display but you can use it only with the charger most of the time plugged on. Just watching Netflix, the battery lasts about 2h. With Optimus GPU mode, the battery lasts about 4h when watching Netflix, but you can’t use 120Hz.
    – Charging takes forever.
    – Charger is big and heavy. When moving a laptop from room to room you have to carry that charger.
    – Encountered a bug when the display just turns off and only the hard reset helps. Looks like the problem was related to hibernation. Support recommended just to turn hibernation off… Support is responsive though.
    – It runs on Windows Home… Razer put the label Pro on the laptop and economized on the Windows Pro version…
    – There is no fingerprint scanner, windows face recognition sucks

P.S Yesterday encountered a new bug: after sleep, the screen works but it doesn’t show anything (so even with hibernation off. Only hard reset helps)

This is an upgrade from a razer blade 15 (1660ti) and man what a difference. The fans are not horribly loud. The keyboard is great, and the power of the 3070 is fantastic. I have no clue about battery life because I keep it plugged in on the desk. Here’s hoping the laptop last a good while.

If the 3070 isn’t $2500. Don’t not buy. They are jacking up the price for no reason.

The quality of Razer products are very good, but the Razer Blade Pro is by far the best notebook that I ever had. Excellent quality, easily upgradeable and the quality of the display is gorgeus!
I am very happy with this product!

Blue screens a couple times every hour. Overheats like CRAZY. Had to replace the battery within the first year. Doesn’t even run that quickly. Looks great when gaming, but blue screens quite a bit, even during Overwatch on High graphics settings. You’re paying about 3x as much as you should just for the brand, and it doesn’t even work.

Bought this 17″ 4k 120Hz Razer Blade laptop with the 3080 GPU and it is absolutely amazing! If you want the best of the best for gaming on the go this is it. A true high end desktop replacement which can play any AAA game title I throw at it (including Cyberpunk 2077) at 60 fps in 4k 120hz glory! I can’t stress enough how nice games look on this laptops screen and the performance you get when it is tuned correctly.

On that note for those looking to purchase this exact laptop there are a few things you need to consider:

    1) Understand this is a big heavy laptop that is meant to be plugged in constantly and not run on battery to get the required performance. On battery I can get 1-2 hours at the most which is laughable. The power supply as well is 230w and quite the brick to carry around. This isn’t really a machine you can sit on your lap on the couch either as it is just too big and the metal chassis can become hot under load.

    2) Buy this laptop like I did from Amazon and not from Razer directly so if there is an issue you can return it easily. Razer has a well earned reputation of horrible customer support and my experience with them was on par with what others say. The first few weeks I had serious CPU throttling issues at low load tasks causing the fans to ramp all the time ruining the computer experience (startup, web surfing, downloading, movies) and I couldn’t find a solution. I contacted Razer and it took them over a week to come back and just repeat the same troubleshooting from their website. Every time I replied it took them days to respond and the technician never made any attempt to contact me by phone. In the end I solved the problem by going into the bios and disabling Intel Speedstep and Turbo Mode under the Advanced -> CPU-Power Management Control tab which were enabled by default. It has been like night and day since and the computer runs like a dream with no fan noise unless I’m playing a high load intensive game. Even in those circumstances the fans aren’t super loud and the temps remain at most in the 70c range. This fix actually brought the temps down at high load as well. I have another issue with slow speeds on wifi I’m still dealing with but that is not a deal breaker for me like the fan noise was. Razer is still dragging their heels to support me on this issue. I think their products are great but they have to fix their current customer support levels. It is atrocious and after spending 5k on a laptop such as this you expect more.

    3) Make sure you understand fully Razer Synapse software before you cast judgement on a laptop that might not initially perform to your expectations or its full potential. There is alot of info online and once you digest it all it is easy to get the laptop purring like a kitten.

I recommend this laptop to anyone who wants the most powerful gaming laptop money can buy. It truly is a marvel of engineering but make sure you understand what I’ve stated above.

I bought this to pair up with my asus g14 for gaming and music production. The display is beautiful, it runs like a champ, and the build quality is exceptional. Well done Razer! I love this laptop!
