Royal Canin is a very good food for Cats and Dogs. My Cats eat this up and I better pour it fast enough or I am in big trouble! It is on my reorder list because it is healthy for my fur babies, they just love the taste, and if their bowl is not peaked with this dry food, they think their bowl is empty!
Seriously, it is expensive for 6 lb. bag, but for me, my Cats’ health is paramount and my vet approves. They also always eat wet food and get plenty of fresh water.

I have an “orchid” cat. She needs to take liquid medicine twice a day, in food is infinitely easier than by mouth, but she can turn up her little nose up and try to bury even her favorite fish canned food, which Trader Joe’s may no longer carry. So, I learned to put just a teaspoon of pate canned food with a moat of a little water around it, and then sprinkle Royal Canin Aroma or Savory Select dry pieces into the “moat”, with the tasteless medicine on top of the pate. What we do for Love! Works like a charm, in addition to withholding food for the few hours before her medicine time. She also prefers all dry food with a little water but will not touch the pieces that become “bloaties” if they sit in the water too long. The cat dishes on a stick, Kitty Katty, have also been a Godsend to help me keep my super affectionate princess enjoying life, as I enjoy her presence in these stressful times.

it is now four years later and our beautiful FIV kitty passed away at age 11 two years ago. Our other kitties are 14 years and 5 years old. Both are still doiing very well on this diet with lustrous, silky fur, bright eyes and very healthy. They have remained steady in weight and even the 14 yr old is still very playful. I see no problems with this diet and neither does our vet who regularly examines and gives them yearly checkups and vaccinations. They love their food and ask for it when the dish runs low. It is kept out all day long, and they are both nibblers. I hope this is helpful as I notice some people have issues with the diet. For my girls, it works very well.

This is healthy cat food that our three cats enjoy. It is a pricey item when bought at a pet store (even with their occasional coupons and discounts), but through Amazon, it is far less expensive -about $10 less) for same size bag. Not had problems with them overeating or excessive weight gain despite their food being available in their individual dishes all day long. One cat is about 11 years old and, for the first time, he had a dental cleaning that was necessary for some tartar buildup and never needed before, plus as a rescued stray cat he is FIV positive (feline AIDS virus). We have had him on this diet for 7 years now (he was about 4 when we took him in according to vet) and there has been no change in his FIV status and he has beautiful shiny fur, and loves to play. We attribute his wellness to keeping him on this diet as well as our other two, one of those also a stray and the other one adopted from a family that didn’t want her. There is never any waste, nor does the food have a chance to become stale. This size is perfect for our three cats who nibble when they get hungry. The bag has an inner seal to keep food fresh and easily opens by tearing across the top.

My cats are super picky about dry food. Either they try to bury or it gives them diarrhea 😬. Royal canin has been the best overall all. They tried several different flavors and they like them all without any gastro issues. Definitely will continue to buy:)

I’ve had a challenge getting my finicky ginger eating healthy food. Royal Canin finally clicked with him. He was a rescue with thin short hair and at last, his coat is lush, so loft and shiny, and his eyes reflect he’s getting great nutrition. They like Savor and the formula for indoor cats

Our other cat, a big British Shorthair, isn’t finicky but does prefer Royal Canine to other brands, esp this one, Savor. He has short hair too, but it’s so dense and feels like the soft silky velvet, so, obviously the nutrition in the food is great. I supplement daily with plenty of canned Royal Canine and other wet food brands. I’m disabled, and having this on auto-delivery is wonderful as it’s hard to find and incredibly over-priced in my zip code. Thanks Amazon.

My cats preferred the protein flavor made by Royal, but it’s been discontinued

I have an elderly cat with a thyroid problem who is a very fussy eater. She’s always been that way, but it’s become a real problem over the past couple of years since her hyperthroid issue makes it challenging for her to keep her weight up.

I’ve tried pretty much every premium and store brand of cat food, and this one (plus Holistic Select) are the only ones she will readily eat. To make the cost more palatable for me, I mix the (slightly) less expensive Holistic Select with this.

There are three versios of the Selective, and Royal Canin offers a sampler pack for about $5 that includes all three. Given how expensive this is, you’ll want to try the sample pack first to see how your cat reacts, and if he/she has a preference for one of the three.

Great cat appeal; horrible for the budget. But, if it gets her to eat, it’s worth it!

My 4 year old cat likes it, does not go directly to it but eats it all up eventually. She’s always been picky but Royal canin is a brand she seems to like. And not a lot of junk in it.
