I was thrilled with these shoes for our trips to the water park until the 3rd time when I noticed the inside is coming apart and rubbing my toes raw. These shoes are too expensive to be falling apart already. In the picture you can see the material is loose at the big toe of the left shoe and smooth and tight on the right shoe (not the best pictures because you can’t get into the shoe very well to get a good shot)

True to size, attractive design and absolutley comfortable and perfect for water aerobics. No strain or pain after intense aerobics due to the support and fit that can be individualized with velcro straps. The hold up well without showing signs of wear with daily water use. Love these shoes!

The fit is pretty large – and you’re not wearing socks, so it makes sense – had to send back for a smaller size. However, they’re now perfect and I no longer have cramps in my feet or calves during class – nor any injuries!

I have tendon issues in my foot and ankle. Walking without shoes in the shower made this worse and I could barely walk the next day after needing a shower. I bought a size bigger than I wear in regular non-water shoes and these work great! LOVE the arch support. The bigger size made easier on and off when the shoes were wet. The top of my foot needed the extra room for a pain free use of the shoes. Would recommend!

I have been going to water aerobics for a few weeks and I was wearing some light swim shoes with very little support. My feet started hurting me so I bought these. They are great. My feet have not hurt me at all since I’ve worn these. They are light and I felt that they were true to size. The sole is much more like a tennis shoe and it’s very supportive but they are not heavy.

This Ryka shoe gives me a much appreciated inch in height for the rigorous water fitness classes I attend, as well as a little weight to counteract my buoyancy. The price put me off at first, but for me, it’s worth it. I ordered size 9, my typical street shoe size, but 8 ½ would have been better. The shoes look like running shoes, but they’re well structured for the pool and don’t get water-logged. Really good product for water workouts.

I like that these use Velcro instead of laces that constantly come undone in the water. They don’t fit as tight as laces but are comfortable in the water. And that’s the problem. They don’t fit as snug as the ones with the laces so if you have plantar fasciitis like I do they can make your feet hurt. As much as I like the Velcro I went back to the Rykas with the laces so I can get a better fit and not have my feet hurt.

I purchased these to walk on the beach as suggested by my podiatrist. I have torn ligaments in my foot and was told I would need a watershoe with good arch support. I have many pairs of Ryka sneakers and sandals and love them, so that is why I purchased these.
They fit very wide and stiff. I suppose if I were going to wear them with socks they might fit better, but if I am in water I don’t want to wear socks. Every other pair of Ryka’s I have ever had were comfortable right from the beginning. These are so stiff they would definitely require some breaking in. I was not able to wear these on the beach as their intended purpose. Maybe with socks on I can wear them as regular sneakers.
These Ryka water shoes are definitely a $100 miss for me.
A disappointed Ryka fan!
