This TV is absolutely stunning. The design definately stands out from other TVs. Set-up was extremely easy and can be done manually with the remote, or via the Samsung SmartThings app on your phone. It recognized all the things I pluged in via HDMI and set them all up quickly. The remote is cool, doesn’t require normal batteries and recharges via light or a USB-C. The Multi-View allows me to watch two sporting events via different inputs at the same time and easily switch between them. I can’t comment on the sound of the TV as my sound goes through a soundbar, which it easily recognized. It comes with a stand which would be cool if I didn’t aleady have a TV stand. The back cover conceals all the connections and helps to rout all the cables into an easily manageable bundle. Overall I love the features of this TV, it’s looks, and the perfomance!

I really had no idea how big this would be but it is huge. And heavy. You’re supposed to have 2 people lift it but I managed to lift it myself onto my TV stand. It comes with legs but with the cable modem and Blu-ray player and Roku and stuff it didn’t seem to make sense to use the legs. The unit is much too heavy to hang on a wall and does not come with anything to hang it with, so keep that in mind.
Setting it up was kind of a chore. It’s a “smart” TV so you can put a lot of apps on it like I have on my Roku, though some I have on my Roku like Rifftrax, Movie House, and obviously The Roku Channel are not available, so I kept the Roku hooked up to use as a secondary source.
The other problem with the apps is after I installed them, they didn’t show up on the home screen. To do that, you have to individually pin each app to the home screen. Ugh, what a chore. And then there was the struggle with the volume button on the remote. Some genius decided instead of having 2 controls for volume and mute, let’s use the same button! So if you press the button it mutes and to adjust the volume you toggle it up and down. No possibility of confusion there, right? Right?! Wrong! It was only when I saw a graphic on the remote’s bag that I really understood how it works.
The TV did not seem to work with my cable’s TV box. The “help” from both companies was unhelpful: it’s your cords! (I tried at least 2 different ones) or the classic “try turning it off and on again.” So I wound up just sending the box back because the TV has an app from the cable company to stream those channels. So maybe I can save a few bucks a month on equipment.
The sound quality is OK but you’d probably want to buy speakers, woofers, and whatever for true theater-quality sound that will annoy your neighbors if you live in an apartment. The picture is bigger and on certain apps and programs better. Some of that depends on the apps and movies/shows and so on; 4K isn’t going to make a black-and-white movie from the 50s look that much better. Mostly for a lot of things the resolution makes me think of a soap opera or with a lot of CGI a video game cutscene. I don’t know if that’s really better or not.
Since this is my first TV of this type I can’t really compare it to other models. I do wish they’d make the setup a bit easier and really, why couldn’t you just have a separate mute button?!
For the price I was happy enough with the HD TV I bought back in 2010 that wasn’t “smart.”
UPDATE: I had a real scare the other night when I paused a Blu-Ray and went to use the bathroom. I few minutes later I came back to find the screen dead. It wouldn’t turn on with the remote or the manual switch. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and it still wouldn’t start up. The manual’s “troubleshooting” was useless. A “friend” on Facebook finally told me to unplug and leave it off for five minutes or so. I probably unplugged it longer than that and it came back on! Still, it’s pretty weird that it would just go dead like that.

SAMSUNG 55-Inch Class QLED 4K The Serif LS01B Series Smart TV w/I-Shaped Design, Anti-Reflection Matte Display, Portable Easel Stand, Ambient Mode+, Alexa Built-in (QN55LS01BAFXZA, 2022 Model) (55β)
The biggest thing that sets this TV apart from the rest is that it is designed to be seen from all sides, including the back and top, and look stylish from any angle. It has an easy-to-remove textured panel that hides all the connectors and cords; consequently, there aren’t any VESA mounts, which means that wall or stand mounting is not an option. It is a great TV for open spaces or locations where wall mounting isn’t an option, like an apartment or dorm. Picture quality is very good with plenty of brightness, even for sunny rooms and spaces. It also works well with our HTPC but, like so many TVs and monitors we’ve dealt with, the default settings on *both* the PC and the TV will need to be adjusted to get the best performance; the biggest setting to change was that the PC defaulted to 30Hz at 4k, and we had to manually set it to 60Hz, which made a tremendous difference for videos and games. As shown in the product photos, it comes with four easel-style legs but can also stand securely on a flat, level surface. The legs are more heavy-duty than I expected and thread into angled holes underneath. It also comes with a cord duct to route the power, HDMI, and other cables along one of the legs, keeping the cords together and preserving the clean look. Although the legs are sturdy, one potential limitation is that the center of the screen is right about 3 feet (1 m) above the floor which makes it too short for most conference rooms. Recommend.
