These last a good long time and they sound great. They hold their tuning fairly well if your trying to play a lower 7 string style.

They sound awesome but unfortunately, if you’re looking to bend strings, you have to have very strong hands as the low strings are very heavy… So even though you’re actually trying to bend the G, you have to also bend some of the E, A and D to do that (as they’re above the G)…
I recommend to the company that they make the low strings not so heavy
The DR pure blues are my favorite go to string

Ive tried a lot of strings since going to a 7 string and many brands promise to be great for drop tuning but these really deliver. I drop down a whole step on all the strings so I have up until now had to buy real thick gauges which I wanted to avoid. The last set I used was even an 8 string set with the high e left out in an attempt to stay in tune and still play well. These strings are a much smaller gauge and feel so much better and they truly do tune well and hold the tuning right away. I recommend you try these wether you’re a 6 or 7 string player that drops tuning. The price is pretty nice too. Happy I finally can stick with 1 brand now.

These are a dream if you down tune a step or more. For the doomy gazey stuff I tune open G and bring the 7th string all the way down to G. I can’t really do that using other strings, without major setup changes. No mud, no buzz, just low-mid power. They really do stay put as well. Don’t go with extra heavy if you aren’t down-tuning at least a step though. I imagine that probably explains a lot of the breakage claims.

I’ve played DR string’s alot, these DDT string’s are my go-to string’s it seems…I just love them, never had any type of problems out of them they just get the job done.

Best strings I’ve ever used for drop A and G, the feel is great and they don’t seem to rust like normal Ernie balls would in weeks, these take months, will probably never buy any other types of strings for my 7 again!
