This is a well-crafted bow. It has a nice pull and is quiet with little hand vibration. A great bow package that comes with everything you need, including an arm guard to prevent getting a nice welt and bruise on the arm.
It comes with fur pads already installed on the shelf. Also, it comes with feather-fletched arrows, not plastic veins. For those new to archery, this is a big deal when shooting an arrow off the shelf and not from an arrow rest.
If you’re interested in Olympic competition, recurve bows are currently the only bow type allowed in the Olympic Games. Recurve bows offer great power, speed, and accuracy compared to longbows.
It looks great and shoots great, packaged well! Sanlida Archery does not disappoint.
Hopefully, this helps someone who’s on the fence about buying this bow.

Beautiful awesome and accurate bow really fast and well made don’t hesitate. Factory string is OK. But, get a good custom string, some string silencers, and limb backing and your in business. A real shooter.

Pretty much will never find a better one piece recurve for this price. If you are wondering if you should buy this, and checking reviews, BUY IT NOW! These bows are well made and FAST. Will make a great hunting rig. The arrows are a bit heavy. 575 grains. Good for hunting but not the best for target shooting in my opinion. You will need to buy your own nock point. Other than that everything needed is included! Get it now while you can!

 I have a 30 inch draw length and the bow is smooth with no stacking. I have 2 issues right now! I saw one of the issues in a YouTube review unfortunately, and that is the finish on one of the limbs, which is blotchy and scratched on the outside bottom limb towards the tip. I am also not happy with finding the bow string coming apart. See the pics and video for both issues. Fortunately, I had already ordered a custom made D97 bow string that is due to arrive in 2 more days. I will post an update in 3 days, after I’ve shot it a few dozen times. I might still return it for one that is not flawed. If it gets scratched, I’d much rather it be because of something I did versus new out-the-box.
UPDATE:
I gave an additional star for a total of 4 due to Sanlida Customer Service was quick to contact me and make ammends for the damaged limbs by giving me a $20 refund. The bow shoots great and is very smooth on the draw with no stacking at my draw length. I would however suggest 32 inch arrows instead of 30 inch in order to better accommodate more archers.

I have been building, shooting and hunting with recurves and longbows for 50 years. This bow is as good or better than any I have seen so far. The workmanship is virtually flawless. The design is top notch. The bow is light in weight and very quiet. I bought a 45 lb model which I pull to 43 lbs at my 27″ draw. I chronographed a 510 gr (almost 12 gpi) hunting arrow at 142 fps. Speed would be substantially faster with a 430 gr (10 gpi) arrow. As I said earlier, I build my own bows, but I can’t even buy the materials to build one for the price of this bow.

Received a different bow for Christmas and fell in love with shooting. It was a #25 and I wanted a #40 to grow into while I build up my shooting muscles. Watched sooo many youtube reviews of bows, even bought a black hunter that I didn’t like and returned (a lot of hand vibration… I probably got a dud, oh well). Came across a few reviews of the Sanlida Royal X8 and they were all very positive. Decided to give it a shot and was very happy with my purchase. Yes, I’m very new at archery, but if you’re like me and just getting into the sport, this a great bow. Looks really nice, build quality is excellent, and comes with everything but a target and a nocking point to get you started. The bag is especially great, not like amazing quality, but having a travel bag is awesome. Arrows are a little heavy, but the fletchings are feathers and shoot good enough to get you started. A little off-gassing from the arm guard, but I already had one and put this one aside as a spare. But the bow, wow the bow is awesome. Looks and shoots great. The string definitely stretches a bit at first. I’ve shot about 400 arrows with it and it’s now staying at the brace height I set. I recommend using the includes string silencers, but that’s up to your personal preference. What are you waiting for? Get one for yourself!
