Love this bike, it is perfect in size for our 9 year old daughter, and colors are beautiful!
I followed measurement guide (google online guide) for wheel sizing. We bought the 24” wheels, steel frame, for 9 yr old with 26” inseam and 55” tall. It is perfect. This would also work for a kid with a 25” inseam and 53”+ tall (our 8 yr old). The bike itself is about 1-2 inches smaller in height than the Mongoose 21 speed Bike with 24” wheels (we liked both!). The seat and handlebars are adjustable but our 9 yr old fits perfectly with both at lowest, leaving room for bike to grow with her. *This took my husband about 90 minutes to assemble but we also removed the front wheel break per safety preference- both hand breaks are still on the handlebars, but only the one controlling the rear wheel break is usable (we just removed the actual front break part from the front wheel of the bike- which was a personal preference:) ). Our daughter loves it, great quality bike. Totally worth the buy and in this case definitely a “you get what you pay for” investment!

Great quality bike. Feel good when people on the road peeking my bike:)

There are complains that the fork is loose. Mine is loose originally. But following the instruction, I managed to get it as tight as I want.

I agree with some complains that the derailleurs are not high quality. Sometimes some gear of the rear derailleurs have little noise no matter how I adjust the index though no functional issue. Maybe new model year can be improved.

I was tired of buying bikes from Walmart only for them to break in a year, when my friend recommended me this brand, so I promptly bought it. Safe to say, it was a great choice. It was only a little difficult to assemble, but it works really nicely and is very reliable as I’ve been using it for awhile now in rough terrain. It is most certainly worth the money as I myself have had no problems with this bike, 10/10, would buy again

To the point! Right out of the box I noticed the bike wasn’t assembled correctly. Brake lines were routed wrong and the goose neck for the handle bars was assembled backwards. No biggie to correct. BUT, during the first ride I noticed shifting problems. Shifts like total garbage and not smooth at all. During an up hill climb and shifting to an easier gear, it wouldn’t stay in the selected gear. Chain kept slipping and I actually had to get off and walk the bike. Definitely needs some major adjustments. Not a quality bike at all but what can I say. You get what you pay for! Not too happy with it.

I assembled the bicycle yesterday during the night and finished at 12:05 am of today, Monday 09/18/23. I did not used yet.
I bought and pay for the bicycle as new, but this is a used bicycle, I understand if for some reason could be a small scratches during the shipping (which also is not normal, but understandable) but in this case the scratches are too big. Also there are a marks on the wheels when someone else used the breaks. Both tires also had dust.
Definitely a used bike. I payed for something new and this bicycle clearly is not new. I would like to have a discount or something. This is not normal.
I will use the bicycle for first time in a few hours to see if at least can be used without mechanical issues. Someone else returned this bicycle -I don’t have any doubts- and then Amazon sent that to me, the question is why.

    ***UPDATE***

In the same way that I had the time to write the previous review, I would like to inform that Amazon after seeing my complain and evidence they gave me a discount for the bicycle, THANKS AMAZON for your amazing support and quick response.

Also as I said in my first comment finally I got the time to use the bicycle and I strongly recommend it, ride is comfortable and also is too light and really fast, the 27.5 inches tires help a lot to ride smoothly, also has a very good suspension.

This is my second Schwinn mountain bicycle, I also had the first one and works fine even when is 15 years old bicycle. I also have a road bike from different manufacturing. I am a 46 YO and started using bicycles when I was 5 or 6 years old. Since then I used a lot of different bikes. I strongly recommend Schwinn, there are another companies offering expensive products but at the end they are very similar.
One friend and I did a comparative between his expensive bicycle and mine and at the end he prefers mine because was faster and less expensive.

I will update my comment as soon as see any news with my purchase.

    I hope this information helps.

And thanks again to Amazon support.

    Jesus.

Always sceptical about buying a bike online without physically seeing it beforehand. This is very good quality, super easy to assemble just don’t expect it to turn up on time. The courier company this company uses is not reliable but that’s my only peeve. Bike itself deserved the 5 star review.

I started cycling avidly in 1980, then worked at a Schwinn store from 1986 thru 1994. I haven’t ridden a bike in nearly 10 years. I used to sell and service bikes for eight years. I cannot express how amazed I am at the quality of this Schwinn bike! The fact that it features disk brakes, a front suspension, an aluminum frame, index shifter, and great quality is just amazing! And the fact that all of that was less than 300 bucks is mind boggling! I feel like I won the lottery!

I love the bike, actually light weight and a great around city bike that seems to be very accomplished for street and road use. If you don’t care for the feel of and actual road style bike this one should be right up your alley. Love it but I may go with a set of tires with a less aggressive tread pattern thst work well on road and dirt. Saving my bike with full suspension for trail riding. There are some bugs Schwinn needs to work out though. The front derailleur was really sloppy. Needed to be adjusted 3 times before it set right. But noticed I would have problems after a while with shifting. Set it up and readjusted the high and low set screws. They keep backing out with time. So a little locktite and they are fine now but it is a problem that should be looked at maybe some nuts to lock them in place from factory. Other than that I love the bike. Came early and was easier to assemble then my more expensive bike.. I would definitely buy it again but I might go with some aftermarket parts. Who knows where it will take me. And with the custom paint color it doesn’t get lost amonst others….
