This spreader is very easy to use and really works well. It uses 4 AA batteries, which last surprisingly long. You can be very precise in your coverage with this spreader. I use it around my pool, and it works really well keeping the fertilizer/weed control off the pool decking and on the grass. This is some of the best money I’ve spent in a long time!

I like this Spreader. It’s reliable and easy to use, providing even coverage for my lawn. The battery-operated feature makes spreading effortless, and it’s lightweight and comfortable to handle. Great tool for lawn care!

The concept of this little spreader is great, the actual product sucks! First, don’t get it near water! My first use was with fertilizer, it worked fine, but obviously I had to clean it so I spray it gently with the shower sitting on my house, wiped it off and stored it. About 3 weeks later I went to use it, wouldn’t work, I thought it may need batteries. Opened up the battery compartment, it was full of corrosion from water. I clean it with a rag and corrosion spray, and installed new batteries, it worked. Used it one more time, cleaned it and put away for the season. Tried to use it this season, full of corrosion, no longer works, less than a year. Called Scotts, they told me they had to have my phone number; they had my name, email, address, and purchase info. As they say, I was born at night, but it wasn’t last night, I get enough Robo calls!

I have been the yard work person at our house for decades. In the past, I would do everything but spread fertilizer with the typical rickety, rolling spreaders. That was my husband’s job. Over the past couple of years, for some reason, I have ended up being the fertilizer spreader too. Our son, bought one of these spreaders for his home and was telling his dad about how great it is. My husband decided to buy one and now, hubby is again the fertilizer spreader in our home!!! I have never personally used this gizmo but, my husband thinks it’s awesome. I think the fact that I no longer have to do that chore makes this well worth the cost. The fact that it is a “power” tool is probablypart of the allure for using it. This spreader is definitely MUCH more convenient to store than a traditional, rolling spreader.

I saw someone online using one of these and honestly i did not know they even existed. I have been using my hand cranking spreader for years and thought i would try it out. First I was impressed with the overall quality and seems to be made very well. Put batteries in and filled with some fertilizer and off to the yard we go easy peachy it works great, no cranking anymore just walk and spread, much easier than a regular broadcast spreader if you have a small yard or lots of obsticals work around this will be a good purchase.

I love this product.
The quality is top notch, and as advertised. It’s the perfect size for a handheld spreader. Very easy to set up, as it comes preinstalled. All you have to do is pull a tab for the batteries!
Love the stability, versatility and overall color/appearance!

We got this spreader because we live in a condo where we are responsible for some yardwork and often the landscapers do not to a sufficient job of fertilizing etc. since we have a smaller area, we did not need a big spreader. My husband and I used it for the first time a few weeks ago. He filled it and I did most of the spreading. It was easy to start and stop the flow of the fertilizer, It spread very easily. It is easy to clean. We would recommend this for someone with a small yard area to fertilize.

Good spreader, with a range of rates of delivery.

Motor stopped and wouldn’t work under load when fertiliser was added. Tried new Duracell batteries. Tried two different size fertilisers granules and adjusted setting. Same result. Returned for a refund.

While this can’t be as accurate as a broadcaster (simply because we aren’t robots and holding it won’t be stead), this is very easy to use and holds a good amount of product for smaller lawns.
My only issue with it is that the container should really ramp down to the spreading mechanism. This mechanisms is basically at the front end of a box, so you have to shake or tilt the spreader down constantly when you start to run low on whatever you are spreading. (Be careful when you do this though. If you’re holding the trigger down and you tilt you might end up dumping a bunch of product all at once.)
This is a particularly silly design flaw on an otherwise great product.

Bought this to replace a rotary spreader which was past its best. At first, I was a little dubious that the spreader was up to the test but it has worked a treat. Very even spread, easy to control and apply. I would recommend.
